The United States opts to use Italy to weaken German power even further. They first start using it as a base to smuggle weapons to anti Nazi forces in France, as well as Spain. They also begin to create a very elaborate spy ring in and around the German government.
Intelligence in Berlin indicates the Nazis are developing a more powerful weapon. The nature of the weapon is unknown, but the US has to decide what to do.
