World War One was the most costly war in history which also cost the most people than any other war in histiry, except World War 2.

There are at least 5 total reasons how the war began.

1. After germany invented the submarine, they began to use this weapon for the High Seas Fleet to challenge it with Britain.

2. Most of the countries of Western Europe colonised much of Afica and Asia.

3. Countries in Europe began to build up their industries and military might. By 1914, Germany had the second largest army in the world, only China has the largest-250 million soldiers.

4. Archduke Franz Ferdinard and Sophie were assasinated by both Serbian terrorist Gavrilo Princip, who was a member of a terrorist club- The Black Hand.

5. In order to protect themselves from other countries, countries formed alliances. Britain, France, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and the Balkan States fromed the Great Alliance. Germany, the Hasburg empire, the ottoman Empire, and S
