The layout looks good, my compliments. You could also place the featured section in a template like this so it'll change automatically on the first day of the month:

Yeah. I'd like to see this page get put up as the main page. If not having a full month for the article is a problem, we can make September's featured article the same one, and then start thinking about others for future months.

By the way, I'll handle the featured articles if you'd like, but what do you think of a special discussion page about what article to feature? Maybe I/we could create a page about featured articles...like some criteria on how an article can be nominated and what it must contain...and we could discuss which to feature on its discussion page. --Riction 12:52, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

I'd say Toyotomi deserves a full month on the main page, so you can feature it for September too in my opinion. About the featured talk page; we could definitely try that, it's better to have some community involvement in this, and if it turns out that it's highly impractical or that the community turns out to be too small we could always turn it into your personal project again. Whoa, it is. Cool! I just created the template "Featured September", which is the same as "Featured August", so it will automatically go to that when September comes. If you or anyone else thinks we need another one for September, we can talk about it.
