Alexander Mitchell Palmer was the 29th President of the United States from 1933 to his death in 1936. Known for being a staunch anti-Socialist and a profound conservative, he overwhelmingly won the 1932 presidential election over Socialist candidate Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Although pledging to thoroughly destroy the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Pacific War, his promises fell short and a white peace was made with Japan in 1934.
