Alexander Lukashenko was the Premier of the Soviet Union starting in 2014, after the ousting of Gennady Zyuganov by the Supreme Court of the Soviet Union. Lukashenko favored a more isolationist policy in regards to the west after the Fourth World War. Under Lukashenko, the Soviet Union entered a state of political tension between Lukashenko's hardliners and Zyuganov's reformers, backed by the influential member of the Supreme Soviet Mikhail Gorbachev.
