Bundesarchiv Bild 146II-277, Albert Speer

Albert Speer, 1943

Albert Speer was the 7th Chancellor of the German Empire. Speer was the leader of the German Resistance from 1936 to 1949, an originally small underground network that later grew to incorporate large masses of German and Austrian citizens, namely those exterminated by the Nazost regimes. The Resistance also smuggled several "undesirables" out of Germany and Austria and into France, Scandinavia, and Russia. After the end of the Fifth World War, Speer was elected Chancellor of Germany, a position he held for ten years until he was assassinated in 1959 in Berlin wth Georgy Zhyukov.
