Akmed Zakayev was the President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, a resistance government established during the Fourth World War. Previously, Zakayev was an insurgent in Chechnya fighting for Chechen independence from the Soviet Union. Zakayev was killed when the Soviet Union retook Grozny.
