The Act Of Succession 1984 amended several aspects of the monarchy. It allowed Catholics to accede to the throne, the royal family to marry Catholics, eldest daughters to become monarchs even if there were sons and declared that the monarch was "defender of faith" rather than "defender of the faith". Apart from the last point, this has yet to make any difference to the identity of the monarch and is unlikely to do so for some time since the King's eldest child Prince Louis of Wales is male.
