With the fall of Germany in April 12, 1946, and Japan in June 8, 1946, two main superpowers emerged, the United Empire of the People, a communist empire that expanded from Hokkaido to Belarus, and the United States of America, a capitalist republic that expanded from Hawaii to the Bahamas. The two powers had different ideologies, starting the famous "The Struggle for Power" between the two nations. For the next 41 years the two build up the military, waiting for the other to attack. The USA already had a nuclear bomb, however, on May 2, 1947, a nuclear bomb was tested in Siberia by the UEP, eventually leading to a nuclear stockpile. On June 24, 1949, the People's Republic of China was proclaimed. When the independence movement in India grew stronger, PRC and the UEP tried there best to make sure the Indian Worker's Party took control. On July 12, 1951, India declared independence, founding Socialist Union of India, a communist nation. The SUI was able to keep Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Burma together. For several years, peaceful independence movements weaken the European imperialistic empires. On May 30, 1963, the Shah of Iran was overthrown, and the Islamic Republic of Iran was declared. On September 17, 1968, the UEP did the first moon landing, beating the USA in the space race. In order to be stronger, Canada, USA, and Mexico became the United Republics of North America. In 1987, a economic crisis spread across the world, and by November 21, 1987, many countries had collapses. As the world splitted into multiple nations, a new age came, an age of a planet shattered.
