2011

Americas

  • The already-battered remnants of the Texas Republic, a diverse mix of various Native American tribes such as the Comanche, Apache, and Natchez with a few whites scattered in are decisively defeated at the Battle of San Antonio, in the bombed out ruins of the once thriving city. The High Chairman of the Republic was executed by American troops. The scattered remnants of the Republic retreat into the deserts of Western and Southern Texas to wreck havoc, via guerrilla warfare, on the advancing American force.
  • President Peter Johnson of the Republican-Nationalist party of the United States suffers a major popularity loss when the American populace hears of war crimes in occupied Texas. Old cries revived of "War Hawk" ring out amongst the more liberal members of the States, while his chances for re-election become almost nil as the up-and coming Democrat politician Barack Obama gains popularity in the States.
  • In a startling move, Alaska votes in a referendum to secede from the Commonwealth and join the up-and-coming United States. The Oswaldian policies of the now-defunct Brythonic Imperium of yore have left a bad taste in the mouth of Commonwealth members after the War of the Alliances, and it is another nail in the coffin of the Commonwealth, the failing successor to the Imperium.

Africa

  • Darfur is annexed by the Republic of Sudan after the capital city of Al-Dashir is bombed to the ground, forcing the rebels to accept total defeat. Government officials in Khartoum plan the next resurgence of Sudan, the successor state to the Kushite Empire.
  • After years of war in chaos in yet another ex-territory of the Kushite Empire, the Somalian Transitional Federal Government is created to help quell the anarchy in the region. The operation is criticized as an effort to provide Oswaldian war criminals a safe haven in a remote corner of the globe.
  • Tensions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo heat up after its earlier decolonization by Portugal.

Europe

  • Belorussian freedom fighters win back the western half of their proposed country and it is recognized by most nations of the French-aligned European Union.

Asia and Australia

  • Afghanistan leaves the Central Asian Union and a heavy American military presence is established there to prevent Communist, Oswaldian and anarcho-capitalist rebels from arising there again.

2010

Debate about Welsh, Scottish, and Cornish people again erupts, with many being critical of the the decision to allow the United Kingdom to reform.
