The 2012 Rose Bowl was the site of the 2011-12 NCAA Division I football national championship game, played on January 9, 2012 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. The game pitted the No. 1 Pacifica Orcas against the No. 2 Cuba Spaniards, both 13-0 entering the game. The Orcas won the game 26-24, thanks largely to game-winning touchdown drive led by Offensive MVP Quinn Kelly to win the game after a furious fourth-quarter comeback.

The game resulted in Pacifica's first national championship, won in their second national title game in two years.
