The 1985 Rose Bowl was part of the postseason of the 1984-85 NCAA Division I football season, held on Janaury 1, 1985 in Pasadena, California. The game pitted No. 8 and PCC Champion California against Lakes runner-up and No. 4 Michigan. The Wolverines dominated the game, winning 21-3 against a Bears team led by true freshman Charlie Sheen, who led the team to the 1987-88 national championship three years later.
