1949 Ausse-Burma war AVArb

The land "usurped" by the Aussies (control is weak in the mountains) and the mountainous peace South Thailand (client state) taken as well.

  • Australia: The first diesel trains enter experimental use and cheaper urban TV sets are rolled out. The new Adelaide to Darwin via Alice Springs highway is nearly completed. 1000 rifles, 12 Humber armored cars, 12 fighter planes are also built. Air and coastal defenses are raised across Western Australia, Rabaul, Dili and Borgonville Island. South Thailand becomes a part independent vassal client state. An alliance with the Saudi Arabians and the Netherlands is asked for. A nickel mine opens in central New Caledonia. 50 troops, five Vickers Medium Mark I tanks, five Vickers guns and three Carden-Lloyd tankettes are each sent to the garrisons Rabaul, Hpa-An and Dili. 30 men and three Carden-Lloyd tankettes reach the town of Loikaw in southern Burma. Yes, the Dutch can get the parts of their ex-colonies that Australia controls back. Farming improved. A slightly enlarged Papua New Guinea is slated to become a State of Australia in about 1970. Australia offers a customs union, free trade deal and mutual defense treaty to New Zealand (RNG please!). The secret plan to stop the Burmese from persecuting the Karen, Shan and Mon minorities happens at last. The large garrison I inserted over the last ten years or so usurps colonial authority in the four southernmost regions Tanintharyi Region, Kayin State, Kayah State and Mon state in a bloodless local coup against the local British colonial forces in order to form it into a new territory run by Aussies. The coastline and major towns fall in the four regions, but the jungle mountains need more work on them. The British are told to leave and go to unoccupied north. The "security of Malaya, British colonial inaction, Japanese imperialism, chaos in India, Burmese OTL/ATL hatred of the Karens and Mon, and ethnic issues relating to Burmese–South Thai relations" are the official reasons stated. South Thailand client state joins in the fight to free their kindred in Burma's Shan State, but struggle in the rugged forest Shan mountains. Unfortunately, the Burmese and the rest of the colonial troops fight back. (RNG, please, on crushing the counterstrike by the un-usurped northern piece! Roughly 60% of the land and 75% of the people, but the Shan, and Kachin minorities OTL hated the Burmese as well and the Islamic Rakhine would OTL do anything to join Muslim Bengal). Due to a lack of Mod response I assume stalemate.

  • Iran:Reformists lessen extremist laws and regulations.
    • Canada offers support to Australia in the Indochina Region, where needed.
    • Aussie D: It's welcomed, fancy freeing the Rakhine and Kachin regions?
  • France: Industry and military buildup continues. Space Research starts.
  • Italy: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space Research continues.
  • Serbia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Libya: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Ethiopia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Eritrea: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Somalia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Macedonia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Montenegro: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Slovenia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Croatia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Bosnia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing second issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Switzerland: Research and construction continues.
  • Saudi Arabia: Continue to send help to the Saudi backed separatist cells and many British outposts are attacked by the separatists who want to join Saudi Arabia. The modernisation continues.
  • Aussie R: 50 more troops and a Kangaroo tank are sent to the garrison at Oman.
  • Those territories are Omani and Yemeni, not Arabian. Therefore, they would not join you.
  • Spain: Continues setting up more TVE transmitters all over Spain, as broadcasts continue, airing from 7PM-12M each night (except for Sundays, when there are no broadcasts). However, television remains a luxury for the small Upper Class, with less than 10,000 TV sets registered in households, with an additional 25,000 in bars for football matches. Fears of an Arab Uprising appear to be discussed in Madrid, and at the Capital of the Spanish Arab Dominion in Algiers. This leads to stronger censorship in Arabic news be given to Arabs, avoiding mention of African uprisings in other parts of the continent, along with Saudi Arabia supporting Muslim separatists in British posts. As amusing as it is to watch the British Empire crumble, it would bring fears of the Spanish colonies being brought down too. This news is censored in mainland Spain too, with no mention of TVE's Telejournal program that airs nightly at 11:30 PM. Anyone seen spreading these "rumours" risks being imprisoned at the growing prison, formerly the Gulags of the Second Spanish Republic.
  • South Africa: South Africa continues to spearhead the war against the British by invading British East Africa. The development of nuclear weapons continue, and the expansion of the navy as well. The space program receives additional funding, but requests for additional manpower denied as more able-bodied men are being drafted to fight against the British. This in turn sees the influx of highly-educated women entering the field of research in South Africa as men are filling the ever growing ranks of the South African military.
  • Canada: Support offered to Australia in Indochina. Nuclear Research continues with work expected to be done within the next few Years and the first nuclear test within the next decade. Asks Britain to cede the Arabian Territories to Saudi Arabia to prevent a bloody war.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. The federal government follows the lead of the state of Brazil and pours money into research. Development of Venezuelan oil wells as well as oil wells throughout the nation continues in an effort to reduce the price of domestic oil and the dependence on foreign oil. Venezuela holds interim elections, electing their former president Romulo Betancourt as the interim director until the official CoLA nationwide directorial elections in 1952. In the fall, Uruguay petitions to join the CoLA. The government sends requests to Ecuador and Bolivia. No word from Ecuador, but Bolivia demands the return of a coastline taken by Chile in exchange for membership. Of course, the Senate withdraws any request for Bolivia to join the confederation with the Chilean Director stating that "Economic progress is collective and the results of past wars must be forgotten."
  • Denmark: With the world being totally peaceful and not seeming to care about destroying Germany (except for, of course, Canada), Denmark secretly offers Canada a plan to build up the strength of the two nations, both being wearily against Germany. Continues to send troops to the Netherlands and tries to establish relations with the Netherlands. Trains up the troops, builds up the economy and produces nukes. WE CALL ALL OUR ALLIES TO SUPPORT THE NETHERLANDS IN THE REVOLT.
    • Canada: Builds up its military and accepts the plan and puts it into effect immediately.
      • Italy D: We support Netherlands and wish for the merger of DITO with ILEAN.
      • Serbia D: We support Netherlands.
      • Libya D: We support Netherlands.
      • Ethiopia D: We support Netherlands.
      • Eritrea D: We support Netherlands.
      • Somalia D: We support Netherlands.
      • Macedonia D: We support Netherlands.
      • Montenegro D: We support Netherlands.
      • Slovenia D: We support Netherlands.
      • Croatia D: We support Netherlands.
      • Bosnia D: We support Netherlands.
  • Germany: Germany continues to develop their military with experimental technologies. Nuclear weapons continue to be created. Meanwhile, the official doctrine of Germany on weapons of mass destruction is drafted, called the Bundes Doctrine. According to the doctrine, a nuke is a chemical weapon is a biological weapon is a nuke. Since Germany only possesses nuclear weapons, the response to a chemical or biological weapon will be a nuke. You have been warned. More tanks and aircraft are created. Research continues on the space program and the ICBM program.

1949.5[]

1949

The high mountains in the four southern provinces and about 75% of Shan state are still out of our control, but we are winning!

  • Australia: The first diesel trains enter urban use in Victoria and 6000 cheaper urban TV sets are rolled out. The new Adelaide to Darwin via Alice Springs highway is completed! 1000 rifles, 12 Humber armored cars, 12 fighter planes are also made. Air and coastal defenses are raised across Western Australia, Rabaul, Dili and Borgonville Island. An alliance with the Saudi Arabians and the Netherlands is asked for again. A 2nd nickel mine opens in central New Caledonia. 150 troops, Seven Vickers Medium Mark I tanks, five Vickers guns and three Carden-Lloyd tankettes are each sent to the garrisons Rabaul, Hpa-An and Dili. 30 men and three Carden-Lloyd tankettes reach the town of Loikaw in southern Burma. Australia again offers a customs union, free trade deal and mutual defense treaty to New Zealand (RNG please!) Due to the lack of Mod action I assume yes. The coastline, jungle foothills and major towns fall in the four regions, but the high mountains still need more work on them. Losses are heavy on all sides. The British are told to leave and go to unoccupied north. The Aussies still claim the "security of Malaya, British colonial inaction, Japanese imperialism, chaos in India, Burmese OTL/ATL hatred of the Karens and Mon, and ethnic issues relating to Burmese–South Thai relations" are the official reasons stated. South Thailand client state joins in the fight to free their kindred in Burma's advances to free 25% of Shan State, but still struggle in the rugged forest Shan mountains. Unfortunately, the Burmese and the rest of the colonial troops still fight back. 500 rifles are given to Shan and pro-Thai Burmese elements. The Shan, and Kachin minorities OTL hated the Burmese as well and the Islamic Rakhine would OTL do anything to join Muslim Bengal. Canada’s help is welcomed, fancy freeing the Kachin and Rakhine regions? 150 more troops and a Kangaroo tank are sent to the garrison at Oman. 500 rifles are sent to help the Netherlands government.
  • Italy: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space Research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.

  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the second issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Saudi Arabia: Continues to support the revolt in the Muslim world and builds up our military. We accept the Australian alliance and ask support to speed up the modernisation of our nation.
  • Aussie D: Saudi’s alliance is accepted.

    • I don't know if you didn't notice but those areas are YEMENI and OMANI, not Arabian. They would not join you. Instead, they would form their own nations.
    • OK. So instead, can I make them sort of puppet states?
    • Destroying the rival Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen (N. Yemen) would be historically plausible. Aden was more pro-British than Aden Protectorate, but both wanted out once Arab nationalism spirits rose due to Egyptian propaganda. The Federation of South Arabia and Hadhramaut were not all that pro-British, but neither were all that anti-British nor pro-Arab by independence. [History of Yemen]. Saudi Arabia could try to destabilize its neighbors by issuing anti-British propaganda, issuing pro-Islamic propaganda or by playing on tribal rivalries in the UAE and The Federation of South Arabia. Aden, the Federation of South Arabia and Abu Dhabi were viable for the taking. Southern Abu Dhabi was then empty desert, give or take the odd nomad, so Saudi Arabia could try to retake it, since it was Saudi Arabian between 1914 and 1924 and other parts were disputed up to [until 1974. ] Oman was a different case. The Ibāḍī Islamic movement is core to their lives so they would find the Saudi Wahhabi nauseating. [Dubai] was moderate in its views and more pro-Western. For this reason it does not like Saudi Wahhabi Islam. Aden city and the Federation of South Arabia could join Saudi freely and Abu Dhabi could be attacked/crushed over a border dispute. Oman and Dubai would not join freely and do not have a major OTL dispute with Saudi. The River Nile-2 (talk) 14:56, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
  • Switzerland: Continues working on missiles that could be used for anti-aircraft purposes. Continues construction of border defenses and public shelters.
Uruguay is proudly admitted as the seventh member of the CoLA. Tensions with Bolivia run high, especially after last year's incidents.
  • Canada: The military dramatically developed, with thousands of new soldiers recruited and dozens of new war ships being built. Sends a force of 5000 men to Indochina to be directed by Australia. Sends secret requests only known to the receivers, Canada's government, and Denmark. Sent to: Sweden, France, Britain, Australia and the DITO league to help us invade Germany by massing forces along the French and Danish Borders, with Canadian Ships being dispatched along the Northern German coastlines. Sends a post-invasion plan to Denmark to partition Germany after the war, if successful - partitions between Denmark, France, Sweden and Canada. Jet fighters are now being mass produced. Government feels like they are on the verge of an early nuclear breakthrough. Joins Denmark in the space race. OK, so instead.
  • Spain: Development of nuclear weapons continues, making about 8-10 a year at the rate of technology. Continues the censorship of news of Arab revolts in both the mainland and the Spanish Arab Dominion. The first design for a jet fighter for the EELFA, the E-49 Vencedor, a jet fighter capable of going four times faster than the Messerschmidt Bf 109, is put into production in factories in Spain, with an order for 50-70 to be built by the end of the year, and a grand total of 1000 to be produced for the EELFA. A supercarrier is planned, which will be about twice the size of the Gibraltar-class carriers, though will require the retirement of older vessels in the EELA to create the first super carrier, which is expected to take until 1954 to build.
  • The United States and NASA continue working on space flight, while the first small rocket is tested by United States Army Air Corps. The F-86 Sabre is launched by the United States Army Air Corps as the first American-built jet fighter, and limited production begins. The military commanders begin developing a plan of strategy should a war break out between the United States and Sweden or the United States and Germany. Development begins on a super carrier. The development of the infrastructure continues.
  • Denmark: Happy with the Canadian plan, we heavily militarize, build up nukes, continue space program and continue research on aircraft carriers. We invite Canada to become an associate member/partner of the ILEAN, for further cooperation should war break out against the US (which is for us the worst situation). Also, the ILEAN shall vote on accession of the Netherlands on the ILEAN page, which can be seen in any category of this map game (except for Category:Map Games, of course). Also, Denmark recommends cooperation and, if possible, a future merge between DITO and ILEAN, resulting in a big block quite possibly to prevent a war between the biggest nations (i.e. the Soviet Union, the US, Japan and Germany) now. The new name is possibly International Alliance of Democracy.
    • We would prefer to keep the name DITO, It works and incorporates the same name essentially as the IAD, and it's easy to remember.
    • OK. I suppose. Regards, Laptop Zombie 14:37, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
    • Thanks, and its really fun to say if you're bored.
    • I don't understand. Why do you say that I'm bored? I'm just trying to mend a big block. That's it. Regards, Laptop Zombie 14:44, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
    • Also, DeanSims, please vote on the ILEAN page. Tell Scrawland Scribblescratch to do so also. Regards, Laptop Zombie 14:45, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
    • I'm not saying you're bored. I just like saying DITO. Will do
    • Are you really DeanSims? Because it looks you're really 216.157.209.69, who isn't signed in. Regards, Laptop Zombie 14:48, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
    • I don't mind if DITO and ILEAN merge.The River Nile-2 (talk) 15:09, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
    • Let's change it to ILAN, because I don't like DITO (the acronym, I mean) and ILEAN falls in my favor.
    • That IP Address was me. I just logged out so I could go to my next class and had to say that. (Fear the Mutated Dean Sims Bomb, Fear It) 12:30, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

1950[]

1950 Ausse-Burma war AVArb

Green = Italy, Pink = Canada, dark Yellow = South Thai, Brown = Australia and Yellow = Unconquered and offered a truce.

  • Australia: A prototype ‘Wombat’ class jet comparable to the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 is test flown in Melbourne. 10,000 TV sets and 100,000 radios are issued. 1000 rifles, 12 Kookaburra tanks, 12 Humber armored cars, 12 fighter planes are also made. Air and coastal defenses are raised across Western Australia, Hpa-An and Queensland. 20 Australia troops and a Kangaroo tank reinforce the local garrisons in Dubai and the Mahra_Sultanate. An alliance with the Netherlands is asked for. 500 rifles are sent to the Dutch and 100 are sent the Shan Liberation Army rebels and local collaborators. 50 troops, five Vickers Medium Mark I tanks, five Vickers guns and three Carden-Lloyd tankettes are each sent to the garrisons at Rabaul, Borgonville and Dili. Farming improved in Queensland and Victoria. Secretly, based on plans reserved from Italy and Denmark several turns earlier, three minor 1kt nukes are still being developed as a post-nuclear war last stand weapon in a secret place, but they will take a year to build. A fourth 1kt test bomb is also being made in the secret place. 100 troops and two fighters are sent to reinforce the land in Burma and go to Hpa-An. The Canadian and Italy’s DITO troops sent to help the Aussies get their orders, DITO tips the balance in the Shan state and the Canadians storm the coastal Rakhine region. The coastline is blockaded and forts in Ayeyarwady Region are bombed on occasion. Italy takes the region's islands by coastal assault. South Thais enter the Shan town of Taunggyi and free it. A truce is called for with the Burmese authorities as fighting officially ends. Losses were moderate, but anti-Aussie activity is over. Australia has fought its worse war so far, since OTL WW-I, with 6000 deaths and 11,000 injured.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the second issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Australian D: We wish to buy some copies of Imperishable Night (영야초) for our libraries.
    • Korean Diplomacy: Han Kyung-ni agrees, and ships translated versions of the Manhwa to Australia.
    • Australian response: Thank You.
  • Switzerland: Continues working on missiles that could be used for anti-aircraft purposes. Finishes construction of border defenses and public shelters.
  • Canada: Continue to support our troops in Indochina. After several years and a timing miscalculation, a nuclear weapon has been built and tested in the northern Baffin Island region. The results prove positive and construction of many more bombs are built. Private historians offer to buy some of Korea's Imperishable Night. The government places an order for several copies for federal libraries. Military Stances off the Atlantic coastline are intensified and several thousand troops are sent to Britain to prepare for war. Offers Australia the plans for the nuclear weapon and the materials to build them. Looks for Additional support in the coming invasion/occupation.
  • Cuba: A fragile dictatorship, increasingly dominated by radical politics eventually evolved, but was quashed in 1949 by Cuban nationalists, and the new leader Victoriano Defaro. Working to get the U.S to support an ally, Cuba has also accepted the U.S and Australia's offer to free trade agreement and a U.S alliance.
  • Australia Diplomacy: We offer a free trade deal and economic help to Cuba, if they want it.
  • Cuban reply: Accepted, it is now active.
  • Saudi Arabia: Continue to support the revolt which continues to damage the British hold on the peninsula. The military continues to be built up and a military operation is prepared for next turn and troops are deployed as the king believes that the British and their allies will have the disadvantage of the terrain and part of the population is friendly to us.
  • United States: The United States, seeing tensions in the Atlantic Ocean, begins forward deploying the United States Atlantic Fleet to begin patrols for any non-American submarines or warships near the maritime boundaries of the United States. The United States recognizes the new government and Cuba and offers an alliance and trade agreement. The first squadron of F-86's are shipped to the Philippines, Hawaii and Alaska, while enforcement of the Territory of Panama (just the Canal Zone, not actually all of Panama), while anti-drug and organized crime operations within the United States begins. Production of nuclear weapons continues, while the USAF launches a small rocket into the sky, but it disintegrates. Research into space flight continues, while development for a better tank, rifle and artillery continues.
    • Canada Diplomacy: Asks the Americans to start a common Atlantic defense alliance to reduce tensions.
  • Denmark: Continues space, nuclear and aircraft carrier researches in cooperation with Canada. Continues producing nukes, two nukes are given as a free gift to Canada. Denmark tries to mass-produce many aircraft and warships. We also work on missiles. With a lot of work, we encourage everybody to join the fields of science to help researches. Continues improving infrastructure and economy. Christian X and the Crown Prince visit Canada and other members of the ILEAN and DITO, namely Sweden, Italy, Australia, Japan and South Africa, in order to promote the idea of ILEAN.
    • Canada Diplomacy: Welcomes the Danish Royalty.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. The federal government utilizes the magnificent surplus and high production rates to begin its venture for nuclear research. Development of Venezuelan oil wells as well as oil wells throughout the nation continues in an effort to reduce the price of domestic oil and the dependence on foreign oil as well as to increase revenue for the government's plans and services. This year, Ecuador is admitted into the CoLA following a two year application process. An interim Director is appointed to serve two years until the national directorial elections of 1952. Petitions the US to aid in the government's research on atomics.
    • American D: We will support your atomic program.
  • Britain: Britain continues to expand its nuclear arsenal and military. The Saudi Arabians are told, "Britain is not posing a threat to the Arabian people" and are asked to cease the unreasonable funding of protests in British territory.
  • South Africa: South Africa continues research into its space program. The development of more nuclear weapons continues, and the process of possibly developing a long-range missile using rocket technology provided by the Germans through the space program is explored. The South Africans prepare for the invasion of the Belgian Congo.
  • Spain: Continues to develop more nukes, at the rate of eight to ten per year. Plans to open up more nuclear reactors at Almaraz and Valdecaballeros, to implement the faster production of nuclear weapons by 12 per year. Continues total censorship of news of Arab and African revolts occurring. Reportedly, many Spanish representatives have sent secret messages with British (through Ireland as a contact), have said that if they would rather support the British take down the African revolts, than allow the Arabs to rebel from the Spanish. Nonetheless, news of what's occurring in the Middle East and Africa is completely censored, with any claims otherwise being declared "lies and slander". Continues development of jet fighters for the EELFA.
  • Italy: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space Research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Serbia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Libya: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Ethiopia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Eritrea: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Somalia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Macedonia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Montenegro: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Slovenia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Croatia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Bosnia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. Troops are sent to aid the Netherlands as "volunteers". We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Denmark D: King Christian X and Crown Prince Frederik visit Italy to promote the idea of the ILAN.
  • Albania- We agree to treaties on the Issues with alliances to Italy and Australia and DITO and ILAN alliances. Alliances to Saudi Arabia, Australia and Denmark requested. 2000 troops and 2005 pistolaras are made and 4000 rifles made up and rifled up. Roads are involved, especially in Tirana, Dureze and The border and coastal zones. Telephones become more common in urban localities. Nuke offer not allowed, since Albania joins the NNPT, IC, WHO, CITES and IL. Lead, manganese and chromium to be mined in the northern mountains next turn. Air defence guns and bunkers appear on the coast in Tirana/Dureze and the Bulgarian border zone. Five parole boats and a mine sweeper and mine layer are built up. Five armoured cars and 20 fighter planes are built up. Weapons are requested from friendly nations, especially Italy. A few dozen troops go to help DITO in Burma.
  • Germany: Germany continues to build up their military and do space research. A few rockets are launched.

1950.5[]

  • Australia: The ‘Wombat’ class fight jet comparable to the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 is successfully test flown in Melbourne and Woomara. The low level nuclear tests continue. Anti-Aircraft and V1/V2 style rockets are also tested at Woomara. Radio Australia starts international broadcasts and Dili gets a local radio station. 50 men, a spotter plane and 12 Carden-Lloyd tankettes are also sent to Madha and Fujairah to back up local emirs' forces in time of crisis. 1000 rifles, 12 Kookaburra tanks, 12 light ground attack planes are also made. Air and coastal defenses are raised across Dili, Hpa-An and Cairns. 25 Australia troops and a Kangaroo tank reinforce the local garrisons in Dubai Emirate and the Mahra_Sultanate. Other Aussie troops in Oman fall back to the bounds of Muscat/Muttrah Port governorate and the city is fortified, since the force is too small to hold the desert interim if Saudi Arabia does become active in the region. Fujairah and Dubai city, [Muscat Port] in Oman, [Madha town] in Oman and the Mahra Sultanate are all fortified heavily. An alliance with the Netherlands is asked for. 800 rifles and 500 pistols are sent to the Dutch and 100 rifles are sent to the Shan Liberation Army rebels and local collaborators in Burma. 50 troops, five Vickers Medium Mark I tanks, five Vickers guns and three Carden-Lloyd tankettes are each sent to the garrisons at Rabaul, Borgonville and Dili. Farming improved in Queensland and Victoria. 100 Australian troops and two fighters are sent to reinforce the land in Burma and go to reinforce Taunggyi. The Albanian troops get their orders to join them in Taunggyi. Albania’s alliance is accepted and they get two Kangaroo tanks, dozens of radios, some telephones, canned meat and 50 rifles. 100 rifles each are sold to Egypt and Ceylon.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni finishes writing the second issue of Imperishable Night (영야초) and releases it a month later. The second issue introduces a second main character, Yoshika Miyako (미야코 요시카), who is Seiga Kaku's friend.
  • Germany: Germany continues to amp up their military while testing ICBM technology more. Supersonic fighter aircraft begin to be mass produced in small numbers. Defenses continue to be built on the French and Eastern border in case of any type of invasion. Panzer divisions continue to be created, although not in the numbers before. Germany remains a highly militarized society. Rallies similar to Nazi rallies are held, except they are without the racist content.
  • Sweden does stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff nukes, ICBMs stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff military buildup stuff stuff stuff alliances to USSR. (You will be to Sweden as the OTL UK is to the OTL US. Happy day.) (Sorry for spamming stuff, nothing to write, really.)
    • USSR's bigger and better than you, period. That kind of an alliance ain't gonna happen at all. ~Viva
    • Well that is seriously plausible, because the USSR is well behind in the nukes race, and have less allies and so on. Regards, Laptop Zombie 14:51, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
    • Doesn't matter. The Soviets didn't have nukes until 1952, and they were still considered a world power regardless of their nuclear capabilities. To send the point home, its like if San Marino told Italy they now had a new master. Wouldn't fly at all. Nukes or no nukes. Also, I highly doubt a massive nation such as the Soviet Union wouldn't be working on nukes. I suggest they get them in 1952 like they did in OTL. I mean, Sweden has fewer than ten million people, and it's telling the 150 million post-war Soviets to bow to them? ~Viva
    • The USSR is also bigger as a land mass, too.
    • And you realize that 70% of the land is ice and desert, yes? Screw that. The USSR is far more screwed up that it was OTL.
    • I'm not buying that. The USSR is still stronger than you, Scraw. Stop being implausible. ~Viva
  • South Africa: The South Africans launch their invasion of the Belgian Congo. The development of long-range missile technology continues, and the expansion of the navy is crowned by the completion of the supercarrier SAS Kruger. Some black Africans protest the naming because of Kruger's historically known racism, but others state that he fought for independence from British imperialism in South Africa, and that the name should represent what he accomplished for the South African people rather than the fiber of his moral character.
  • Saudi Arabia: The Saudi troops prepare themselves to invade but the British are given a last chance to cede their territories in the region in exchange for the right to continue to exploit their economic stuff while we will take in charge the structure development and allow some religious liberty.
    • British Response: The British territories in Arabia will not be ceded to blackmailers. If anything, they will become their own, independent nations. War at this time would be detrimental, with no real winner. Of course, if you enjoy the extremely nearsighted prospect of invading our colonies in the Arabian Peninsula, have at it.
    • Saudi D: We agree to help preserve peace if you decolonise those territories in the next five years, we will take care of the development of those new Arab nations, if you accept, we will stop supporting separatists.
  • Switzerland: Missile research continues. The Swiss are looking to purchase jet fighters for their air force.
    • We'll give you some jets.-Germany'

  • Bosnia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Space research continues. We send troops to aid Australia fight the rebels.
  • Denmark: Builds nukes, economy, tanks, aircraft and rockets. Research on space and aircraft carriers. King and Crown Prince return.
  • Brazil: The Gauss cannon research continues as the state wishes to Initiate its military status as a world power in case of the CoLa failing. Expansion towards the Amazons from Brazilian Metropolitan Population starts as the City of Nosso Ceu is Inaugurated in the Amazonas Near Peru, set to be a Metropolis and a first step towards a New Brazil and a New Latinoamerica. Brazil continues offering to buy Suriname from the Germans.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. Joint atomic research with the United States continues. All attempts to ask Bolivia and Paraguay to join the CoLA have stopped, given their hostile approach towards the government. The Directors of the ABC Powers (Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, most powerful economies in America behind the US) visit Washington D.C to meet with President ? and affirm our cooperation and good relations.
  • Cuba: It has been one year since the Cuban Revolution of 1949. The new Cuban President, Victoriano Devaro, has declared victory over Havana and the Cuban nation. Focusing mostly on the economy, foreign relations and people's rights, he began to remake a democratic government and make Cuba a leading Latino country. Devaro also had formed a national army called "The Resistance". He began building tanks and naval ships for Cuba's communication on the sea. This kick-started the economy and also formed more pride for Cuba, despite still being devastated by the war.
  • Australia D: The financial aid and trade exports from Australia help improve Cuba further.
  • Canada: (Please fix this font size) Forces are massed in thousands along the Atlantic Coast. Forces are sent to Denmark and France in preparation of the final strike on Germany. Three more nuclear bombs are built and another one is tested. Continues to push into Indochina's interior (algorithm, Please) A rocket propelled by solid fuel is fired into the atmosphere, making record altitudes before disintegrating. NHL is established with Teams in Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, New York City, Chicago, Boston and Seattle. FM broadcasting is established in urban centres and telecommunications infrastructure is widely expanded.
  • Denmark D: Offer a navy base near Copenhagen for future use by both countries. Canadian soldiers can be stationed there if you wish.
  • Britain: More nuclear weapons are built up. Meanwhile, the Brits work on aiding their economy and military back home while troops in Arabia are rallied in case of Saudi invasion. The United States, Australia, and India are asked to help against the Saudis.
  • Aussie R: We are in parts of Yemen, Oman and the Trucial States.
  • Spain: Continues development on nuclear weapons, now holding 28 in our arsenal. Representatives of Spanish Oil keep sending offers to sell to other countries, including Ireland and Brazil, though talks appear to be falling apart. Continues development on military, including plans to update the tanks of the EELFT. While many German-built tanks are still impressive in power, just like the aircraft, although after having tested how tanks work in a nuclear explosion, during a test on November 7, 1950 in the Tabernas Desert, where bombs were dropped on a test site with a Verdeja 1 light tank, Panzer IV medium tank and an E-41X Trituradora heavy tank. With fears that other countries could drop a bomb on an EEL base, the Caudillo authorizes the development of light tanks, that rely more on speed and are lighter and faster, which is to be called, the Verdeja 2, along with new APV's to assist them, which can also carry soldiers, called the Correcaminos, is also put into production, making about 600 and 1000 respectively. The line between medium and heavy tanks are pretty much blurred, as they believe a type of tank in between would perform better, be relatively strong, though not too slow. This leads to the development of the E-50 Trituradora and the Verdeja 3 battle tank (early main battle tank, if that's plausible at this time), where 300 of each will be developed. Continues the censorship of news of Arab and African revolts, continuing to keep information away from the Arabs of the Spanish Arab Dominion.

1951[]

  • Australia: 15 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and five are offered to Switzerland and five are offered to Cuba. The ‘Wombat’ class fighter jet (comparable to the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17) is a success and 12 are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with a one KT test bomb failing to go off. Anti-Aircraft and V1/V2 style rockets are also tested at Woomara. Bangkok gets a local radio station. 50 men, a spotter plane, a Kangaroo tank and four Carden-Lloyd tankettes are also sent to Madha and Fujairah to back up local emirs' forces in time of crisis. 1000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, six light ground attack planes are also made. Air or coastal defenses are raised across Bangkok, Hpa-An, Bangkok, Dili and Darwin. Muscat Port and the suburb of Muttrah are defectively fortified, since the force is too small to hold the desert interim if Saudi Arabia does become too active in the region. 100 rifles and a Humber armored car are sent to the Shan Liberation Army rebels and local collaborators in Burma. Farming improved in Queensland and Victoria. Cuba’s trade treaty is honored and they sold two Humber Armored Cars, dozens of radios, some telephones, a few steam trains and 100 rifles as part of the ongoing deal. 100 rifles each are sold to the governments of Egypt and Ceylon. A population expatiation by mass child breeding program starts. The state's 'White Australia Policy' is scrapped (four years earlier than OTL). Literacy campaigns begin in the Indochinese regions held by Australia, now the Australian's war in that region is over. A trade deal and diplomatic relations are offered to Spain. Partial-censorship of news of Arab and African revolts, starts to keep information away from the Australia and its clients.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni begins writing the third issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Aussie Diplomacy: Korea is offered a Free Trade Zone deal with Australia.
    • Korea Diplomacy: President Syngman Rhee accepts the offer of a Free Trade Zone deal with Australia.
  • Canada: Continue to push into Indochina Interior (Algorithm Please) with plans to set up a temporary vassal state for a few years(?). Four more nuclear bombs are built and two more tests go off on the Baffin Island test site. Jet fighters are starting to be mass produced. Supports Australia's future multiculturalism. Infrastructure continues to be upgraded and almost 10,000 new soldiers have been recruited and trained since 1949, many of which due to involuntary joining. Many protest this and the idea is to be voted on in 1951.5. CBC is established to cover hockey games, news and general public programming. Accepts Denmark's offer to build a base near Copenhagen as part of the ongoing preparations to attempt to invade Germany. Send 1500 soldiers to British Arab territories.
    • Cuban Diplomacy: We offer a national trade partnership.
    • Canada Accepts Cuba's trade offer.
    • Canada? Indochina?
    • Canada has an occupied territory with the Indochinese rebels Australia is currently fighting(?)
    • Impossible.
      Canada Nuclear Test Range location

      Range highlighted in dark red.

  • Denmark: Without a big military, Denmark can't send troops to the Arabia and to Indochina, but we continue to build nukes and troops, and research on aircraft carriers. Begins "No Islam Denmark" campaign at a hope to erase Islam (the religion), as a new rule of "No Public Burqa" is installed.
    • Saudi D: The king does not have the intention to convert the west and we search no harm to Europe, we only want to free our brothers. Saw our cause like your struggle to free your people from Germany.
    • Denmark D: No relations. We can't send troops to Arabia (if we do we will actually be peacekeepers, not fighting) have nothing to do with erasing Islam from Denmark. Anyway, Denmark is now an Atheism-majority nation. We aren't Christian either. We actually supports you, Saudis. We just try to keep us white. (this is what OTL Dansk Folkeparti says)
    • This is impossible. Islamism? The concept doesn't even exist yet.
    • Isn't it a centuries old religion? OreoToast555 06:09, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
    • My whole point is a white Denmark - a Danish Denmark. We don't like the Muslims. What's wrong with that? Regards, Laptop Zombie 08:20, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
    • Please do some research on 20th century Denmark following WW-II.
    • Japan: Nuke test on grassland near Jinzhou. Sciance improved.
  • Saudi Arabia: following the tip of his advisor, the king saw the futility of a war against the west which would be surely lost. Instead, the secret support of the cell among the Islamist world continues in a more discrete way (black market, etc.) The interior continues to be improved with many universities being built with a mix of theological and scientific ways of teaching. The UK is politely asked to leave the Middle East and says that we will take the development of the region in our hand and respect the independence of the new states.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. Joint atomic research with the United States continues. Since the country has stopped admitting nations, the Congress is stabilized with 634 members of the House of Representatives (depends on population) and 200 in the Senate (25 for each state). The Senate rejects any offer from Fascist Spain almost unanimously (193-7) due to high anti-Fascist sentiment and the wide-scale liberalism of the country. The country develops its television and radio networks, with the LABC emerging as the number one source of news in the country. The Directors encourage oil-producing countries to form an OPEC-like organization.
    • Saudi D: We would be interest in form an oil organisation.
    • The Brazilian Director travels to Saudi Arabia and discusses the formation of OPEC with the Saudi King. The organization would be centered in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia will lead the organization there. The primary goal right now is to get other nations to join like Iran, Iraq, etc.
  • Italy: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. A rocket is launched from Sicily and it travels over two miles up before crashing into the Mediterranean 80 miles from the coast.
  • Serbia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Libya: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Eritrea: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Ethiopia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Somalia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Slovenia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Macedonia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Montenegro: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Bosnia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Croatia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • United States: The United States Atlantic Fleet continues to patrol the maritime borders of the United States, mainly searching for any non-American warship within the borders. The US Navy has orders to shoot on any non-American flagged warship or submarine that comes within 200 miles of the coastline. Development of space and rocketry continues, while the last of the territories are admitted into the Union as states. Australia is offered to form the ANZUS Alliance between the two nations, while Cuba is offered a mutual defense pact.
    • Canada Diplomacy: Offers the United States a mutual defense alliance along the coastlines.
    • American D: We agree.
  • South Africa: Temporarily turning its attention away from the Belgian Congo, the South African government orders the invasion of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi), to put a swift end to the British presence in the region. Lesotho and Swaziland are offered a chance to the join South Africa without a fight (RNG please). The development of South African rocket technology continues, with a major breakthrough in the survival rate of the long-range missiles, as well as in accuracy, too.
  • Lesotho: Yes. Swaziland: If they can keep their king.
  • Of course they can keep their king. Welcome, my brothers!
  • Sweden, after more years of research, develops the hydrogen bomb, currently the most powerful weapon known to man. We decide that we will make more of this. We offer a mutual peace with Germany. Also, the Scandinavian Demilitarized Test Strip is established out of land from barren land in northern Norway and Sweden. We do space stuff.
    • Since when? Germany has Edward Teller, the father of the Hydrogen bomb in OTL and you've made no posts about researching this.
    • I assumed that it would be implied. Just like how Germany and Sweden are building up nukes despite not writing about it. The hydrogen bomb was the next step after building the nuke.
  • Spain: Reports of a Spanish submarine being fired on by American Navy ships were confirmed when the Cataluña-class submarine, S-36, returns slightly damaged by what appears to be a torpedo round. EELA General Admiral, Hugo Martinez, demands that the United States deliver an apology for the unprovoked attack on a Spanish ship, which happened to only be 195km from Florida, nowhere near American territory to even threaten them. Nuclear weapon count is at 36, continuing development of making Spain the nuclear superpower. Continues offering other countries our oil, in order to improve our economy, although continuing anger at CoLA for anti-Spanish sentiment, attempts to reach them have given up, and now sends condemnations towards the South Americans, with propaganda, that claims that they "betrayed" their own people, and that they will soon fall apart into brutal warfare. Development of military continues.
    • American D: We will not apologize. Your submarine commander clearly did not heed the warnings sent to the world from the US. And American reports confirm that your submarine deliberately fired upon an American destroyer, which resulted in retaliation. Heed this warning, Spain. The US Navy will battle and defeat your navy at any place, at any time.
    • The eight Directors and Prime Minister of Latin America state in a televised address that Spaniards are Spaniards and Latin Americans are Latin Americans. The only thing we share is language. We wouldn't want to associate ourselves more with such a despicable excuse for a nation. Spain will fall apart, not a nation built on democracy and liberalism. A nation like Spain built on corruption and Fascism can only last as long as the people tolerate it, which is not very long. The former mother country is but a shadow of its former self and no amount of nuclear weapons could regain it the glory and prestige of the days of the monarchy.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: The words said by United States and the Confederation of Latin America are being transmitted on TVE, as threats of aggression, for the population to know that those two inferior nations are the real enemy, and we must fight against the American Aggression. (Referring to both North and South America, not just the U.S.) The EELA continues heavily arming its coast, in fears that the US or CoLA Navies may strike.
  • Cuba: With the Cuban economy rising due to foreign aid, Cuba stops being neutral and isolated and starts going into foreign affairs. Planning to get into war so that it can get some fresh allies to cooperate with. Cuba has a mix between a strong central government and a republic. However, Cuba still claims to be a Nationalist Neutral nation. Cuba has disagreed with Spain demanding the U.S for an apology as they believe that their trading ally would never harm Spain or its allies. They have also sent products to Australia and has accepted the U.S offer to a mutual defense pact.
  • Germany: The military continues to be improved, as well as the ICBM program. The navy starts to go through a revamp since it is the weakest arm of the German military. Germany remains a highly militarized country ready for war at any moment.

1951.5[]

1951.5

  • Australia: 15 more copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and five are offered to Switzerland and five are offered to Cuba. 20 ‘Wombat’ class fighter jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with a second one KT test bomb failing to go off. Anti-Aircraft and V1/V2 style rockets are also further tested at Woomara. Bangkok gets a local radio station. 2000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, six light ground attack planes are also made. Air or coastal defenses are raised across Bangkok, Suva, Hpa-An, Onslow salt mine, Dili and Darwin. Muscat Port and the suburb of Muttrah are defectively fortified and 20 troops are sent here, too. 100 rifles and a Humber armored car are sent to the Shan Liberation Army rebels and local collaborators in Burma. The rest of the Shan province is freed at last by them and the Aussie client, South Thailand, who joins the truce signed by the Burmese, Australia and the other Aussie proxies. Irrigation is improved in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. We thank Cuba for their trade treaty. Two Humber Armored Cars, dozens of radios, some telephones, a few steam trains and 100 rifles are sold to Albania. 200 rifles each are sold to the governments of Egypt, Tibet, Iraq, India and Ceylon. A population expatiation by mass child breeding program officially begins. Literacy campaigns begin in the Indochinese regions held by Australia. A trade deal and diplomatic relations are offered to Spain. Partial-censorship of news of Arab and African revolts, starts to keep information away from the Australia and its clients. Islamic Malay Patani Darussalam is handed over to their kindred state of British Malaya. 10,000 troopers are demobilized and go home.
  • Cuba: As Cuba became more and more capitalist, some new businesses were popping up in Cuba. The president of Cuba had now set up the terms a president can have in office, which is two. And since one term equals five years, if the president get reelected, then he can serve up to ten years. Devaro also formed the Nationalist Party of Cuba in July, 1951. Cuba had exported its resources to several countries, but mostly to Australia, the U.S, and Canada. Unemployment started to go down, and many people started to dislike socialism by the president's propaganda. However, Cuba still deeply into debt even before the revolution.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the third issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Spain: Having heard offers from the Australians, the Caudillo offers the Australian Prime Minister and his higher-ups a trip to Madrid to start a new friendship between our two countries. Combined with many of the same views as us, we accept an alliance, on the terms that Australia buy our oil, we in return, will send over military equipment for the Australian Defence Force. Meanwhile, ties with the Axis appear to be falling apart, though while still on friendly terms with Germany, that other than Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, the Axis have pretty much decayed, and that maybe a new alliance is in order, to include Australia, along with offering the Australians the chance to assist them, should the British retaliate. Eight more nuclear warheads are constructed, and news on Arab and African revolts are censored.
  • Aussie D: We agree to the Alliance and oil treaty.
  • South Africa (now the African Union): With the Federation of Nyasaland and Rhodesia subdued, the government begins the process of modernizing and industrializing its new territories, and given the lack of European involvement in improving the lives of the citizens, the programs is widely accepted in the newly conquered regions. The suppression of small rebel groups begins with the destruction of the last Botswanian rebels holding out in the Kalahari Desert. The government uses the defeat of the rebels to strengthen their public relations, by painting the rebels as terrorists, using images of the mutilated bodies of those who refused to join the rebel movement in its shock tactics with the people. This improves the government's standing as a protector rather than a conqueror. The improvement of the livelihoods of those once oppressed by the Europeans does much to lessen the tensions with African groups, especially those who had been fighting them to begin with. These are dealt with by providing them with influential offices in exchange for renouncing any and all plans to seek independence. South Africa states its goal of uniting all of Africa under a single banner, protecting all of its inhabitants from foreigner imperialism. Citing the murder of Pan-Africanists such as Haile Selassie I, killed in a nuclear explosion during the Italian invasion of his country, South Africa states that the African people are too divided to mount a successful front against their adversaries, especially European nations seeking to cement their presence on the continent. To signify its new position, South Africa's government officially renames it the African Union, in light of its plans and ideals. Massive military, economic, and industrial build up take place across the nation, so as to help aid in the new government's plans for the homeland. Additional nuclear weapons are built to guard against nuclear attacks.
  • Italy: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. A rocket is launched from Sicily and it travels over eight miles up before crashing into the Mediterranean 300 miles from the coast. Italy invades Tunisia and smashes though it, taking the country with ease and establishing the Republic of Tunisia, which becomes an Italian protectorate and joins DITO.
  • Serbia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Libya: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Eritrea: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Ethiopia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Somalia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Slovenia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Macedonia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Montenegro: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Bosnia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Croatia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sends troops to aid Italy.
  • Tunisia: Tunisia becomes a Republic and joins DITO.
  • Yes, I'm making the algorithm.
  • Aussie D: South Thailand and New Caledonia provided troops. Australia and Timor provide supplies.
  • Done.
  • Sweden does stuff. We continue work on new hydrogen bombs and more nukes as well as space tech and ICBMs, and also our military. A baby boom occurs in Finland, Sweden and Norway. We invite the following nations to attend a conference on the division of the Antarctic continent: America, Germany, the USSR, Britain, Australia, the CoLA, Italy, and Spain.
    • DITO asks for your aid in Tunisia.
    • Italy attends the conference and claim the Antarctic Peninsula area all the way to the South Pole.
    • The United State will attend and lays claim to OTL Norway's claim.
    • Australia attends and claims the OTL Australian Antarctic Territory.
    • Canada asks to join the conference and proposes a claim to the OTL Ross Dependency.
    • The Directors of the ABC powers will attend (Argentina, Brazil and Chile).
    • Whoa, chill, we're not claiming yet.
    • The Spanish will also attend.
    • Cuba has taken an interest in attending as well.
    • Australia: It withdraws and renounces all claims to the continent forever.
  • Saudi Arabia: asks to join the OTL UN to have a voice and offer an alliance to Egypt, Syria, Iraq and the other free nations of the Middle East to protect ourselves from DITO threat. An oil embargo is made against Italy and his puppets while the king continues to support the revolt. The military is built up.
  • You can join.
  • The United States, seeing the International League threatening its control over the Panama Canal, decides to increase the troop garrison there. Meanwhile, research into the hydrogen bomb, space flight and rocketry continues, while another rocket is launched, and manages to make it farther before it blows up. Research into ICBM's begins. President Truman christens the USS Roosevelt as the first American supercarrier, while research into nuclear energy and nuclear-powered vehicle.
    • The Democratic International Treaty Organization offers the USA membership and a seat in the Security Council, and we pledge never to threaten your possessions or try to take them away from you through diplomacy, war or any other way. We will always aid you, and will give you oil for half price.
    • The ILEAN offers the same offer, as well as a mutual defense pact.
  • Iran: The Communist Republic of Iran is established after a coup d'etat.
  • Canada: Hydrogen Energy research begins. Military buildup continues with almost 300,000 men and women ready to be shipped off to France and Denmark for the German Offensive. Invites Britain, France, Australia, DITO supporters and the U.S.A. to participate in the invasion. Infrastructure widely expanded. Proposes a claim to the OTL Ross Dependency.
  • Denmark: Election held, Venstre still in Government. Trains troops and build nukes. Deploys some parts of the navy to block the German and Spanish coast (not blocking yet, just planning) and builds up the base near the former nuked Copenhagen. Being now sandwiched between two nations with the hydrogen bomb, Denmark has no choice but to develop the same thing. This means the Danish Nuclear Program is resumed.
  • Iceland: Train troops. Contributes to the Danish Nuclear Program.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. Joint atomic research with the United States continues. The Senate approves a resolution arming merchant ships to prevent an attack and a resolution similar to the US, stating that any Spanish ship coming within 200 miles of the coast will be shot at. The navy continues its expansion.
  • Germany: In response to the Swedish test, the Germans deploy their own hydrogen bomb they had been hoping to keep secret. Meanwhile, in response to the Italian invasion of Tunisia, Germany invades Greece.
  • Switzerland: Missile research continues. Jet fighters are purchased form Australia and Germany.

1952 Ausse-Burma war endgame AVArb

Mission completed, over and out!

  • Australia: 15 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and five more are offered to Switzerland and five are offered to Cuba. 20 ‘Wombat’ class fighter jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with a one KT test bomb failing to go off correctly. Anti-Aircraft and V1/V2 style rockets are also tested at Woomara. Bangkok gets a local radio station. 50 men, a spotter plane, a Kangaroo tank and four Carden-Lloyd tankettes are also sent to Bangkok and Fujairah to back up local emirs' forces in time of crisis. 2000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, six light ground attack planes are also made. Cuba’s trade treaty is honored and they sold two Humber Armored Cars, dozens of radios, some telephones, a few steam trains and 100 rifles as part of the ongoing deal. 200 rifles each are sold to the governments of Egypt, Cuba, Albania, India and Ceylon. A population expatiation by mass child breeding program continues. The last vestiges of state's 'White Australia Policy' are scrapped (two years earlier than OTL). Literacy campaigns begin in the Indochinese regions held by Australia. Welcomes diplomatic relations with Spain. Partial-censorship of news of Arab and African revolts, starts to keep information away from the Australia and its clients. A prototype video machine and analogue 300 lines per minute Hz TV set is made by workers at Melbourne University. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over two miles up before crashing into the desert 85 miles from the launch pad. Australia takes up America’s offered ANZUS Alliance. Space research starts. Australia says if no one else claims the Antarctic then It won't either, they don't want it, but were afraid of a hostile land grab. No claim to the Continental land mass, but to some Islands. A few islands of the OTL Australian held Mac. Robertson Land. Diplomatic relations are offered to Iran.
  • New Zealand: New Zealand begins to slowly build up its armed forces. The government is unsure of exactly has to do, but decides that arms buildup is probably the best policy. A movement is introduced in Parliament to begin a nuclear weapons program, but is narrowly rejected. However, the government does begin development of an indigenous heavy tank, codenamed "Haka."
    • Aussie Diplomacy: A free trade deal and friendship is offered to New Zealand.
    • NZ Diplomacy: We accept.
    • Canada Diplomacy: Offers Australia and New Zealand a trade organization "CANZ- Canada-Australia-New Zealand"
    • Aussie Diplomacy: We accept.
    • Cuban Diplomacy: We offer an alliance and a national trade agreement.
    • Canada Diplomacy: Invites Cuba to CANZ under a new name CCANZ
  • Canada: Military buildup continues. Preparations to send over 300,000 troops to France and Denmark are made. An extremely secretive message is sent to the Soviet Union regarding the invasion of Germany, asks the Soviets to partake. Infrastructure and education are expanded. Proposes an 'Antarctic Treaty' regarding land claim status, usage of land and research in Antarctica (talk page). Frowns upon Australia for Censoring its media. Technology and rights expand.
    • NZ Diplomacy: New Zealand accepts the CANZ proposal.
    • Aussie D: NZ, Italy, Cuba and Canada are invited to the Antarctic treaty.
    • Cuba D: We accept the offer of joining the AT.
    • Cuban response: We thank Canada for their offer and accept to join CCANZ.
  • New Zealand: A second nuclear weapons bill finally passes, and the New Zealanders surreptitiously begin developing nukes. The "Haka" heavy tank project moves along. The Prime Minister makes a nationally broadcast speech warning the people of New Zealand about the Japanese threat. Partially as a result, the military research department kicks into overdrive. Jet engines are developed, and several secret weapons programs, jokingly called the "Kiwiwaffe" programs, are started.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the third issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • The United States, seeing the other nuclear powers having an H-bomb, decides to begin research into it. The US Navy launches another Midway-class aircraft carrier, while the United States lays claims to the OTL French Antarctic Territory, and signs the proposed Antarctic Treaty (from the talk page). Development of an assault rifle called the M4 Carbine begins, while the US Navy continues patrolling the coast. Research into space flight and ICBM's continue, while another rocket is tested.
  • New Zealand: Due to NZ's relatively small population, the NZ General Staff devises what becomes known as Strategic Plan 32 (SP32), which emphasizes the construction of unusual and/or high-tech weaponry to increase the odds of New Zealand's survival in a major war with Japan or some other power. As part of SP32, the construction of a massive jet-powered dirigible, nicknamed the "Iron Duke" by the workers building it, is secretly initiated near Lake Taupo. The Iron Duke is unique in that, upon completion, it will be the first all-metal lighter-than-air craft. Instead of a helium-filled gas bag, it has a massive, flattened-football-shaped tank devoid of any gas, making it lighter than air. Plans call for it to eventually, after some upgrades, be able to fly from Auckland to Tokyo, drop a nuke on it, and fly back without refueling. However, a significant contingent of the General Staff begins to wonder if this is a good idea.
  • Saudi Arabia: Invites Iran in the OPEC and continues to urge the decolonisation by the European power. We ask to buy jets from anyone who is willing to sell them. The tank production continues and investment to develop stronger ones begun. The king decides to open the nation to the world and began by offering the USA and Korea a trade deal to open relations. The infrastructure continues to be built.
  • Australian D: We have ten Gloster Meteor jets you could buy from us.
  • Saudi D: We gladly accept your offer and hope that the relationship between our nations will be improved.
  • Sweden: Sweden builds up its military. The combined population of the Scandinavian Empire reaches ten million. The economy is in a boom period. We begin work on some sort of nuclear submarine and also research into ICBMs. Space research continues. A new rocket is tested.
  • Switzerland: Missile research is finished. The new missiles are put into place at missile bases in strategic locations. The missiles are used for what the Swiss call the "white cross" defense system. They are effective at taking out slow moving bombers but impractical against fighters. Many believe the system to be an excellent defense against nuclear weapons. The total order for jet fighters is: five from Australia and 15 from Germany for this year. By 1955 the Swiss hope to have purchased a total of 150 jet fighters, and decommission all other fighters in the Air Force.
  • Spain: Builds eight more nuclear weapons. The Caudillo, and many of his advisors, are unsure on what side Spain is on. While still a part of the Axis, a recent economic deal with Australia was confirmed, including offers for TVE engineers to assist ABC TV engineers in developing a national public broadcast service for Australia. While E-N-X Bramar's (jet nuclear bombers) are still in production for the EELFA, many military commanders are speaking with Federal physicists, speaking that the United States would likely be able to shoot down all nuclear bombers that enter within 200 km of US coast line, especially with the American Aggression Incident of 1951. (When a US destroyer fired upon an EELA submarine.) This leads to a secret plan to build either build underground launch facilities, or establish nuclear submarines, capable of firing warheads from at least 400 km, though this is still in rough stages, and still unknown if Spain can develop something like that at this point. News of Arab and African revolts continue being censored in Spain and the Spanish Arab Dominion, and many in the highest rank of the Government are glad that Australia has followed order, which would allow for better economic co-operation. However, as a precaution, about 50,000 soldiers, 500 tanks, 600 APV's and 80 jet fighters are placed on Spanish Arab Dominion EEL bases near Libya and to the south.
  • Cuba: With the "New Cuban Deal" going into effect, Cuba has started to get out of debt. No diplomacy besides Canada, Australia and the U.S, was taken into effect, so Cuba is still considered a neutral nation. Devaro has allowed Castro to get out of jail, but warns him that if he attempts to overthrow the government, he will be thrown into jail again. The Cuban government has recognized the new states of New Zealand and Iran and offered diplomacy to both nations, and an alliance to both. Cuba has been gathering oil to produce this resource to sell to other countries.
  • African Union: Following the nation's formation, the AU puts out a report of the member states of the new government. These are the constitute republics of South Africa, Orange Free State, KwaZulu, KwaXhosa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Madagascar, Angola, Mozambique, Katanga, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. New policies are enacted in regards to military control. The largest republics of the union are to provide direct military contributions to a conflict. The smaller republics shall provide a force of 10,000 soldiers each - well within the capabilities of the republics, as well as serve as special military industrial zones to support the conflict. Thus, all republics will be well within the ability to directly help in current and future efforts. Following this proclamation the reorganized military forces of the AU are sent to deal with the Belgian Congo.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. Joint atomic research with the United States continues. OPEC welcomes its newest member, Iran. The organization sells oil to all countries at cost-effective prices due to the abundance of oil within the organization. OPEC begins to undermine Spanish oil sales due to their oil having better quality and a much lower price.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: Begins to offer oil at a lower price than CoLA to potential buyers, even if it begins to take at our economy.
    • The Directors laugh at the foolish Spanish, since oil at any lower price than OPEC's prices will ruin an economy (especially since the Spanish economy is pretty bad already...)
    • Spanish Diplomacy: Even then, it will affect South America's economy, if it's lower than the OPEC. Consider it a double-edged sword, even if it will affect Spanish economy at first. Any country would betray your loyalties for cheaper oil. We have other ways of making money in the arms race anyway.
    • American Diplomacy: The Spanish have become increasingly aggressive against the CoLA and the United States urges potential nations to support the ideological warfare against the Fascists and dictatorships by purchasing Latin American oil.
    • The Directors thank the Americans for their support. We also remind Spain that oil is not everything we export and the fact that for the moment we can meet the demand for our oil domestically. They further state that Spain's oil is inferior in quality and the oil regions they sit on will revolt away soon anyway, with most wishing to join their Algerian or Moroccan brothers than to work for oppressive regimes like that of Franco's. Then, Spain's biggest export will be Spaniards fleeing to prosperous and free countries.
    • (OOC for this moment) Okay, that last diss was kinda good.
  • Madea voice* Ooh Spain, you gon' take dat?
  • Denmark: Does like last turn Strengthens alliance with Canada…
  • Italy: Italy launches another rocket and it reaches 13 miles high and 1200 miles from the coast landing in Libya near a predetermined crash site. Italy calls these ICBM's and arming of these missiles begins with nuclear bombs. Several nuclear bombs are placed on the border with Germany and its puppet states as a sort of defense so if any Germans cross the border they will be obliterated. The Hydrogen Bomb is tested in Libya, and it is successful. ICBM, Nuke and military buildup begins/continues while Space Research continues as well and plans are to use ICBMs to transport objects into space. We offer oil to other nations as another way than Spain or the CoLA, and Italy states it will only join a Spanish-American conflict if it benefits Italy.
  • Tunisia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Bosnia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Croatia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Slovenia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Serbia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Macedonia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Montenegro: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Libya: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Eritrea: ICBM, Nuke, space research, and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Ethiopia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Somalia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • NZ D: Cuba, we accept.
  • NZ D: We propose an alliance between us, the USA, Canada, Australia, Cuba, and Great Britain.
  • Japan: asks to join in on DITOS Project of making ICBMS and Hydrogen bombs and other stuff. Officially ends conquests in Asia, but states they will help in wars against ------ (insert name), with DITO.
    • Well, if you're part of DITO, the Secretary General approves giving you these inventions, you now have hydrogen bombs and ICBMs.

1952.5[]

People, we need to commence decolonization. For example, Libya should be independent by now as should a lot of the East African colonies whether Dean or anyone else wants it or not.
OTL 1947-1975, mostly 1959-65.The River Nile-2 (talk)
We could set them up as client states, fully integrate them into our home countries or fight a probably (but not necessarily) futile colonial war.The River Nile-2 (talk) 18:54, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
They're puppets, dear. They have full autonomy. (like my Iceland) Regards, Laptop Zombie 03:39, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
  • Australia: 15 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and five more are offered to Switzerland and five are offered to Cuba. 20 ‘Wombat’ class fighter jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with a one KT test bomb failing to go off correctly, it will probably be finalized in 1955.5. Bangkok gets a third local radio station. 50 men, a spotter plane, a Kangaroo tank and two Carden-Lloyd tankettes are also sent to Dubi and Fujairah to back up local emirs' forces in time of crisis. 2000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, six light ground attack planes are also made. Air or coastal defenses are raised across Bangkok, Muttrah and Suva. 100 rifles and a Humber armored car are sold to Egypt, Cuba, Albania and Ceylon. Farming improved in Queensland and Victoria. New Zealand, Korea and Saudi Arabia’s trade treaty is honored and they are both sold two Humber Armored Cars, dozens of radios, some telephones, a few steam trains and 100 rifles as part of the ongoing deal. A population expatiation by mass child breeding program continues. Literacy campaigns begin in New Caledonia and Timor. Press censorship ends. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over eght miles up before crashing into the desert 185 miles from the launch pad. Australia takes up Canada’s offered CCANZ Alliance and Australia also takes up America’s offered ANZUS Alliance. Space research continues. Australia says if no one else claims the Antarctic then it won't either, they don't want it, but were afraid of a hostile land grab. No claim to the Continental land mass, but to some Islands. A few islands of the OTL Australian held Mac. Robertson Land - the Azimuth Islands, Flat Islands, Béchervaise Island, West Budd Island, Giganteus Island, Jocelyn Islands, Nelson Rock, Rookery Islands, Rouse Islands, Welch Island, Williams Rocks, Lee Island, Verner Island, Petersen Island, Stinear Island, Béchervaise Island, Parallactic Islands Kellas Islands in Holme Bay, Mac. Robertson Land. Five other islands are claimed else were- Roosevelt Island, Abbott Island, Masson Island, Paulet Island and Coulman Island. Diplomatic relations are offered to Iran. Germany is arsked to become more democratic and to let go of Bulgaria and Romania. Germany is asked to become more democratic and to let go of Bulgaria and Romania.
AvAReb1953 colonies

The possible new nations.

  1. Australia at the UN- Australia has noticed a ground swell for independence in several of the older colonies. Surinam, French African Guinea, Morocco, Burma, Aden, Fezan in Libya, Tonkin in Vietnam, Algeria, British Malaya, South Arabia Protectorate, Ghana, Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, Banda Ache and Arunchal Pradesh all appear to have started to turn (as in OTL) to leaving colonial rule, which concerns Australia. Australia starts to develop South Thailand, Shan State and South Burma for a united and independent future in about 1959-1960.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the third issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Cuba: Cuba, which has had a growing economy during the last six months, has gone out of debt a few months after 1952. After being offered by Canada an alliance and trade organization called CCANZ, they gladly accepted and worked to befriend others as well. Cuba has joined the Antarctic Treaty and the government also started producing tobacco. By 1953 will be ready to sell tobacco to other countries. Cuba now supports a democratic Bulgaria to be established so that Cuba can form diplomacy with a fresh new Bulgaria. Cuba's foreign relations are overall mixed to positive.
  • Denmark: Cites the Spanish press censorship as human rights violations, the Danish Government promises this will never happens in Denmark. Negotiations for self rule in the Faroe Islands and Greenland starts. Continues research on aircraft carriers, hydrogen bomb. Builds nukes and the troops. Ceremony on troops marking 750,000 (due to heavy militarisation). Was informed by Italy about a future invasion of Germany. We are preparing for such, to claim all of Schleswig-Holstein. Denmark tries to kill Canadian-American relations because that will harm Canadian-Swedish relations and thus stretch Denmark between two blocks, pulling Denmark into total neutrality and prevents us to take back Schleswig-Holstein as several Duchies in personal union and vassal states. We propose an intimate alliance Canada-Denmark-Sweden as the Nordic Union. (Now Canada has the Nordic Cross). Denmark Radio is formed for news and politics primarily, with no religious programs. Treat the news about revolutions in the Arabs and Africa as anti-authoritarian, thus calming the whole nation.
  • Denmark Update: We want to exchange embassies with New Zealand.
  • When can Denmark get hydrogen bomb? Regards, Laptop Zombie 04:41, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
  • Canada accepts the Danish alliance offer. Public supports our relations.
  • We need Swedish opinion.
  • Canada has no relation whatsoever with Scandinavia, despite the implausible Nordic Cross and the strong alliances.
  • *Cough*I have relations*cough*alliances*cough.*
  • Iceland: Build nukes and troops.
  • Saudi Arabia: support the decolonisation plan and we declare that we would be happy to help the development of the Muslim world and other nations by funding them and installing some companies. The Saudi king is informed that an important step has been made in the modernisation and some additional oil sources are found. The air force began to be upgraded with Jet engines.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. Joint atomic research with the United States continues, with a test by joint officials in 1954. OPEC regulates its oil prices, priced at just above Spanish ones to prevent a foolish downturn but just below Italian prices to remain competitive.
  • Canada: Infrastructure expanded. Major foreign affairs expansion with Canada joining Denmark and Sweden in the Nordic Union, and the start of the CCANZ trade and Alliance group. CBC expanded. More hockey teams across North America are made, hockey becomes a distinctly Canadian icon. While Canada supports Spain's 'Axis leaving' (In quotes because they are still affiliated.), it frowns upon its failure to continue the greatness it possessed hundreds of years ago. Infrastructure is expanded. Color cameras are researched. ICBMs and MRBMs are researched. Talks to give Quebec autonomous status (Territory, not a puppet. More autonomy than NWT, Yukon or Nunavut). Begins to end relations between Canada and the USA.
  • Spain: Eight more nuclear bombs are created in facilities all over Spain. Disappointment lurks among the fact that Denmark continues to criticize Spain's government, which in return cancels a planned secret summit of making an alliance with the Nordic Union. Despite international outrage, continues censorship of the Arab and African revolts, and expands the size of EELFT troops from 150,000 to 300,000, in case of a potential invasion from Libya, Saudi Arabia or the African Union - along with holding 1000 fighters and bombers in EEL bases - along with at least 1500 tanks and 2000 Armoured vehicles. Two Aircraft Carriers are moved to 800 km northeast of Caracas, placing it in the Caribbean Sea, where two E-N-X Bramar jet bombers take off and drop a nuclear bomb in the middle of nowhere in the Caribbean Sea - though 600 km away from South American coastline, as a nuclear test - though with the hidden implication of showing off to CoLA not to underestimate Spain. The Aircraft Carriers will not move from their spot, unless directly ordered to by the Caudillo. Meanwhile, a whistleblower, and former General de Brigada (Brigade General) of the 12th Armoured Infantry, Alejandro Romero, secretly sneaks into Portugal, and informs that at least two assassinations were attempted on Francisco Franco, both of them from higher-ups of the Fascist Government. Their families, along with Romero's, have all been sentenced to a concentration camp on the Canary Islands, which those are exposed to heat, dehydration, torture, and rape, which both genders are subjected to.
  • Denmark D: We send a clear message that we will not negotiate with Fascists (Germany, Spain and South Africa).
  • NZ D: We will not negotiate with Fascists either. We are shutting off all trade with Spain and invite any other nations who wish to to join us in standing up to Fascist oppression. We also agree to the embassy exchange, Denmark.
  • NZ: The Iron Duke continues to be built. Meanwhile, the keel is laid for NZ's first aircraft carrier. The nuclear program is moving along smoothly, as is the Haka heavy tank project.
  • Italy: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. We offer oil to other nations as another way than Spain or the CoLA, and Italy states it will only join a Spanish-American conflict if it benefits Italy.
  • Tunisia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Bosnia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Croatia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Slovenia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Serbia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Macedonia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Montenegro: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Libya: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Eritrea: ICBM, Nuke, space research, and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Ethiopia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Somalia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues.
  • Japan: states that the Australian plan is anti-Japanese, as it has us making the most new nations out of our most resourceful areas. Continues all its research on bombs, space and missiles. Asks for a portion of Antarctica.
  • Aussie D: Just put pay to them with a colonial war if you want. you don't need to give in to splitists.
  • Germany: Germany continues to work on missile research. A new doctrine is set up for war, consisting of trading space for time and using portable rockets to harass enemy forces. Meanwhile, a new tank line is released.
  • NZ: The New Zealand government officially forbids the purchase of oil imported from Spain and freezes Spanish assets in New Zealand. The government also launches a campaign encouraging companies to purchase Latin American oil in lieu of Spanish oil. German assets in New Zealand are also frozen.
    • NZ: Requesting UN membership.

Granted NZ.

1953[]

  • Australia: 25 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and 12 more are sold to Switzerland and five are sold to Cuba. 20 ‘Wombat’ class fighter jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with a one KT test bomb failing to go off correctly, it will probably be finalized in 1956. 2000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, ten medium passenger planes and six light ground attack planes are also made. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Bangkok, Muttrah and Rabaul. 100 rifles and a Humber armored car are sold to Egypt, Cuba, Albania and Ceylon. Mining improved in Queensland and Victoria. A population expatiation by a mass child breeding program still continues. Literacy campaigns begin in New Caledonia, Bangkok and Timor. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over ten miles up before crashing into the desert 212 miles from the launch pad. Space research continues. Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) broadcasts a TV drama based on the imported Korean book Imperishable Night. Australia starts to develop the client state of South Thailand, its vassal the Shan State, and autonomous South Burma for a united and independent future as a united client state in about 1960. Nauru and New Caledonia are given autonomy, while Papua New Guinea and Timor start to be integrated. New Zealand is given industrial help and resources to help in the building of 'Iron Duke'. The Aussie ambassador to the UN recognises that the 'separatists' in the Fezan (in Libya) and Tonkin (in Vietnam) have no real support since the nations are largely autonomous, anyhow. Burma is a hotbed of Burma's hate for the British and ethics like the Shan tribe (in OTL it kicked them out in 1947 and shot many Shans afterwards).
    • We could set up new client states out of old ones, fully integrate colonies into our home countries, give integrated places more autonomy (and so on) or fight a probably (but not necessarily) futile colonial war. I mean, we could just pay them all with a major colonial war, if we want. You don't need to give in to separatists. (atomic mushroom clouds rising, etc). PS- we can't cheat fate, alter the basic psyche of human brains or see the map get coloured and/or boring too soon!
  • Cuba: Has begun to buy oil from foreign countries, and has formed the Oil Factor company to sell oil to other nations. Cuba also plans to claim Western Antarctica, so that its scientists can study the Antarctic. Cuba also asked NZ if it could put an embassy in Wellington. Cuba plans to move its capital from Havana to Varadero, and has also started encouraging tourism from all over the world. Cuba has also checked its statistics and its population reached ten million, and more Chinese are moving to Cuba for an unknown reason. The government has asked to join DITO and has announced that it has no intention on being hostile to Spain.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: Offers to sell the cheapest oil in the world to Cuba, and thanks the Cubans for not wishing to be hostile to the homeland.
    • Cuban D: Accepts the offer of buying oil, but reminds them that they have an alliance with the United States, and that we are still neutral with Spain, and that they are still a Fascist government, while Cuba is democratic. However, Cuba views Spain as the largest oil trading partner, and hopes to continue being friendly with Spain despite the alliance with the Americans.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: Accepts Cuba's views, and respects their neutrality, though offers a defensive pact, in case the United States decides to make Cuba "the 54th" state.
    • Cuban D: We accept. We also hope that this new friendship doesn't damage the American Relationship (A Message to the United States).
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni releases the third issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • Switzerland: More fighters are bought to increase the Air Force to the 1955 plan. Meanwhile, the White Cross defense system brings about the idea that nuclear weapons are more of a harm than a help to Switzerland, and Switzerland's legislature passes a ban on the creation, sale or movement of nuclear weapons inside Swiss territory. A new military group is founded, the Swiss Anti-Nuclear Defense Project, or SANDP, with the goal of creating a defense system against nuclear missiles. Scientists immediately begin working on ways to combat Italy's newest weapon, the ICBM. Much of what they have to go on is pure speculation, since Switzerland has no model to test. The bomber defense system is now completely installed, and gives the nation much security against bombers carrying nuclear weapons, which are still used by every nation except Italy. A new government agency, the Swiss Rocket Association, or SRA begins to design rockets, and possibly create an artificial satellite.
  • United States: The United States detonates a hydrogen bomb in the Sonora Desert, which is viewed by US and CoLA officials. Work on a prototype nuclear power plant begins, while another rocket is launched. This one is more successful, but still crashes. Research into space flight and other modern technology continues, while drilling for domestic oil begins. Development of the Philippines continue, while the United States secretly supports the separatist factions in Libya and Tokin (Nothing personal, Italy.) Another supercarrier is laid down, while a prototype B-52 is in development.
  • Spain: Not wanting to be beaten by the enemies in the nuclear arms race, while eight nuclear bombs are built, a hydrogen bomb is in the works, and is hopefully planned for testing in the spring of 1954. Begins development on Basque-class submarine, which is a nuclear submarine, and focuses on stealth, which leads to the removal of the deck gun that the Cataluna-class sports. The Basque-class will also hold at least two or three ballistic warheads (the CN-1 missile), and have the capacity to fire them from at least 400 km, which will be tested at the EELA base on the Canary Islands. Continues arming the EEL bases in the Spanish Arab Dominion, while censoring the news of revolts all over Africa.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The Directors celebrate the successful detonation of the successful test in the Sonora Desert in the United States, the government announces that the functioning bomb will be completed later this year. The Latin American media mocks the decision of Cuba to even negotiate with Fascist Spain. The Dominican Republic and Panama are asked to join the nation, though the Directors of the ABC powers oppose admitting any more nations.
  • Sweden builds up its military and industry. The population all over the Empire reaches a peak 13 plus million. New programs are created for the baby boomers when they grow up. Meanwhile, we build more nukes and hydrogen bombs. Sweden's top-most ranking officials decide that Italy was being brought down. We begin to support independence movements in Africa and the Balkans.
    • Canada asks Sweden to take up the offer of the Nordic Union from last turn.
  • Saudi Arabia: The countries of Sweden and Denmark are offered an alliance and the Saudi oil continues to be sold in Europe. The number of jets continues to grow and the fleet begins to be developed to protect the Persian Gulf from pirates and to patrol the area. Many foreign technologies continue to be integrated into the Saudi population and many traditionalists ask for a return to traditions.
  • Canada: A fighter jet comparable to the J-6 is developed and is mass produced. Research on a multipurpose interceptor begins. Hydrogen weapons research advances. More Battleships comparable to the OTL Montana and Iowa class ships are built and two aircraft carriers are built. Secretly supports African Independence movements. Europe ready military of 300,000 is dispatched to Canada's military bases in Denmark and Britain. Continues to end relations with the United States. Though the UN is expanding, parliament does not support joining as it limits internal control. More talks to give Quebec a special Territory status continue. (More Autonomy than the OTL territories).
  • African Union: The African Union extends membership to Haiti (Haiti actually applied for membership in 2012). A number of nuclear weapons are built, and a second carrier is under construction at Durban. The AU warns Sweden to stay away from Italy, or it and DITO will be forced to respond militarily.
  • We thank the African Union for its support and offer all technology that Italy has as a gift.
  • NZ: After a year of construction (I think it's been a year, anyway), the Iron Duke is launched and revealed to the public. Furthermore, it is revealed that it has been designed to carry a launch rail for a V1-type device developed in tandem with the Iron Duke itself. An official press announcement states that a piloted version of the V1 is being developed for suborbital flight and will be ready in approximately six months. In the meantime, though, the Iron Duke is sent on a test flight around New Zealand and tests out its weapons capability, firing several V1-like rockets (designated as the AG-3 Pegasus) at a test range off the coast of the South Island. Also, the Haka heavy tank project is completed, and the tank goes into production. It is fitted with a 136mm main gun, plus two .50 cal machine guns. (I forgot to add this in my last post) The military also begins the construction of a second Iron Duke-class dirigible, named the Dominion. Nuclear research and space program development continues. The government plans, upon the completion of the Dominion, to offer to sell Iron Duke-class dirigibles to any non-Fascist nation. (This announcement, however, has not been made yet.)
  • Italy: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies as well as Hydrogen bomb and ICBM plans.
  • Tunisia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Bosnia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Croatia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Slovenia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies
  • Serbia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Macedonia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Montenegro: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • North Libya: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Seeing that part of Libya wishes. independence, the Republic of South Libya is created. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • South Libya: South Libya becomes a protectorate of Italy and now has full control of its internal affairs and most of its external affairs as well, and after receiving new technology from Italy, begins ICBM production and Hydrogen Bomb production while the military is built up. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies
  • Eritrea: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Ethiopia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Somalia: ICBM, Nuke, space research and military buildup begins/continues. Begins sending money to Sweden's enemies.
  • Please do not metagame. Also, all these little states like Montenegro and the such cannot have ICBMs or nukes.
  • Japan: Military is sent to DITO. Economy is improved.

1953.5[]

  • Australia: 30 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and 12 more are sold to Switzerland and five are sold to Cuba, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand. 20 ‘Wombat’ class fighter (MiG 17 comparable) jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue and it will probably be finalized in 1956. 4000 rifles, 14 Kookaburra tanks, ten medium passenger planes and six light ground attack planes are also made. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Bangkok and Timor. 1000 rifles and six Humber armored cars and six tankettes are sold to Egypt, Greece, Cuba, Albania and Ceylon. Mining improved in Queensland and Victoria. An irrigation and water collection system is set up around Alice Springs, and farms seed are sown more efficiently. Several stone quarries open in NSW. A population expatiation by a mass child breeding program still continues. Literacy campaigns continue in New Caledonia, Bangkok and Timor. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over ten miles up before crashing into the desert 242 miles from the launch pad. Space research continues. Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) re-broadcasts an Australian TV drama based on the imported Korean book Imperishable Night. Australia continues to develop the client state of South Thailand, its vassal the Shan State, and autonomous South Burma for a united and independent future as a united client state in about 1960, while Papua New Guinea and Timor formally start to be integrated. The mass industrialisation of the Brisbane, Melbourne and Sidney urban-regions begin. New Zealand is given some industrial help and resources to help in the building of their 'Iron Duke'.
  • New Zealand and Cuba, you can both join the Antarctic treaty and the UN by adding your nation to the membership lists here United Nations Page and here [Antarctic_Treaty.]
  • USA: President Eisenhower secretly orders the funding and arming of DITO's enemies to help bring down the organization or its member states. Meanwhile, the United States continues research into space flight and rocketry. Another rocket is tested and this time, it enters the atmosphere before disintegrating. The Philippines infrastructure is greatly improved, while the development of military bases continue. The United States continues to lay claim to OTL Australian Claims in Antarctica and establishes a research post there to ensure its presence is maintained. Research into modern technologies continue.
  • Canada: Infrastructure is widely expanded. Lays claim to OTL Ross dependency. Three research bases are set up along the coastline and 1500 members of the Canadian Armed Forces are sent to defend the bases and the territory. Continues to end American Relations. Quebec is given a special territorial status after a year of talking. (It is not independent, still part of the nation). Farming infrastructure in the plains is expanded. CBC expands with stations slated to open all across the nation in large cities, many new subsidiary networks for various genres are added to the CBC network. Suggests to Australia that it take the entirety of Guinea island? A rocket launched again breaks records, making it 15 miles (24 km) above the surface of the planet. CCANZ infrastructure is expanded.
  • Saudi Arabia: Asks an alliance with America, Sweden and Denmark to create a guarantee that no DITO invasion will occur and the military continues to receive the most modern equipment. A draft of one year is created for all young Saudis. Iraq, Syria and Lebanon are approached to create the Muslim League, to protect the Muslims across the world (the colonised Muslims, for now). (1-4 yes 5-10 no, Iraq 8-no, Syria 2-yes, Lebanon 4-yes) . The base of the organisation began to be negotiated along with a constitution.
  • Denmark D: Accept alliance.
  • New Zealand: The Iron Duke is fitted with a special launching apparatus and is sent up to its maximum altitude of 80,000 feet. At this point, a fairly large modified V2-like rocket is launched from the top of the Iron Duke and flies over thirty miles high. Subsequent improvements are made to the rocket, and a new launch is set to occur in several months. The next Iron Duke-class ship, the Dominion, is completed. A new, top-secret, and even larger dirigible, the Southern Cross, is set to be finished in six months.
  • Switzerland: SANDP and the SRA continue their research. The 1955 plan continues to be put into place.
  • Britain: After King George VI passes away, Queen Elizabeth II is crowned Queen of the United Kingdom and Her Colonies. She becomes Head of the Commonwealth. Meanwhile, several ICBMs are produced.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. A fully functioning nuclear weapon is developed in a secret location thanks to the US. The Directors of Colombia and Venezuela visit Haiti and convince them to join the CoLA instead of the AU, stating that they don't want to be under the sovereignty of a backward nation a few thousand miles away. Impressed, they graciously accept. The Dominican application is passed in both Houses while Panama kindly declines the offer of membership. OPEC praises Saudi Arabia's efforts to admit more members. The results of the past elections are in (I just forgot). All Directors win reelection with the exception of Elias Castro, who steps down from the Argentine leadership after almost 20 years. His massively popular administration saw the rise of Argentina and the CoLA. He was instrumental in the formation of the country. In his place, Andre de San Martin takes the directorship.
    • Haiti wouldn't want to join you given the fact that the Hispanic Dominican Republic had terrorised them for decades (fact), and that they are closer to Africa than South America (fact). Thus, I'd like to get a non-biased mod on this (Pita please). ~Viva
  • Denmark: Builds nukes and troops and research for space and hydrogen bomb. Draft attack on Germany sent to Canada, in which Denmark wants to receive Schleswig-Holstein as a vassal state, Grand Duchy of Schleswig-Holstein with Christian X as Grand Duke.
  • When can Denmark get the hydrogen bomb? Regards, Laptop Zombie 04:50, February 14, 2013 (UTC)
  • Spain: Despite Saudi Arabia's attempts at targeting the Spanish Arab Dominion, the news remains completely censored, and all reports that are sneaked in are stated by all officials to be lies made by the enemy. The first hydrogen bomb continues research, with the possibility of testing the H-Bomb by next year. Eight more nuclear bombs are created. Basque-class submarines start production, with plans of 50 to be produced to supplement alongside Cataluna-class submarines. The Basque-class nuclear submarine will complete the first 25 in 1955, and the remaining 25 to be completed by the end of that year. The EELA's main emphasis is no longer on super powerful battleships, but to produce fast-attack destroyers and frigates, along with nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, in an attempt to outdo the US Navy. Nonetheless, all eight battleships (five Iberia and three Valencia-class) will remain in the EELA as a show of power. A new supercarrier which is classed as a Ceuta-class aircraft carrier, which may become the largest aircraft carrier ever, at least over twice the size of the Gibraltar-class carrier, will have two in production. (Though unknown if it will reach the size of the U.S.'s supercarrier). At least three more aircraft carriers are to patrol the Atlantic Ocean. Meanwhile, labs working on chemical weapons are reopened, much to the shock of the German diplomats in Madrid.
  • Australian D: Australian Indochina is slated to become a united and independent state in 1960.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni begins writing the fourth issue of Imperishable Night (영야초).
  • India: In an effort to balance the religious complexity of the country the government creates a Protectorate in the North (comprising of these States: Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya) named the Indian Republic of The Cross. The flag is white with a Gold Triangle imposed at the centre, along with a cross on the upper left quarter. The Region is given a large amount of political freedom. Indeed, it is self-sufficient except in matters of foreign policy and military.
  • Australian D: Australia welcomes India's move to multiculturalism. A free trade deal is offered to India.
  • Could somebody fill me in on the backstory please? Cheers. David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk)
  • 'France': We improve our roads and urban buses in France and the colonies. The ports at San Rochelle and Cherbourg are reinforced, fortified and enlarged. Real life locations of Senegal, Ivory Coast, Gabon and Congo Republic to get independence next year. Education goes up in the colonies. 100 troops go to Tahiti, Guadalupe Island and Ubangi Chari colonies, just in case of trouble. Australia, can we have New Caledonia back now? Alliance and trade deal offered to Australia, Albania, Egypt, Turkey, UK, Switzerland, Sweden, USA, Netherlands, Denmark and Spain. Peace is made with Spain. 12 low yield atom bombs are to be made. Both Hugette’s Baggetes, Renault cars and Cocque de Sportiff clothing are emotionally promoted in all the nations of the world. The border with Italy and Germany is heavily fortified and guarded. 20 heavy tanks are made and 30 to be made next year. 80 fighters, two attack subs, 20 bombers, four cruisers and 10,000 rifles are made. Can I buy 50 medium tanks and a frigate of the USA and the UK in exchange for cheapened oil concessions in real life T’chad colony area. South Algeria and real life Azawad region place become a separate colony, with its own governor general. Helpless Belgium is invaded with overwhelming and split asunder, with French Walloon’s region joining France and Dutch Fleming’s region being offered to the Netherlands. It’s a silly mixed up ethnic nation and is a wimp against Germany, so we finished it off with possible Dutch help, if they join in (we ask them to). Upper Zaire is legally absorbed into France, divided into equal parts east/west. Infrastructure and border fortifications are greatly enhanced, prepping it to become independent and into see of S. Africa in the near future. Dijon becomes the new center of water polo and football excellence in France.
  • Australian R: You can have NC back and an alliance, once you have left Belgium or proven you don't want to harm the Belgian people more than needed to set up a single democratic nation. As a security measure, if Europe melts down again, we want West Guinea in our hands again, so we sent troops in to annex it again, but leave the rest. We ignore Sulawesi, the remnant DWI and Bana Ache, who are off topic, like now independent W. Indonesia. The Dutch have done little yet and not posted for a week.
  • Swiss Diplomacy: Better roads. The Swiss cannot accept the French offer of an alliance for obvious reasons, but they will accept the trade deal. The Swiss also tell the French that their local Geneva Football team (not American football) can beat them while sleeping, and say that if they really think Dijon is all that, then they should play a match, unless they're afraid to loose.
  • New Zealand: Signs the Antarctic Treaty and joins the UN. The NZ government claims the OTL French claim and Marie Byrd Land.
  • Albania: Small bunkers and anti-tank blockers are heavily popped up across the border with Greece and Macedonian Yugoslavia. Enva Hoaxa wins the election ballot and Albania is a Communist nation now! 20 armored cars, two parole boats, ten fighters, two bombers and ten tanks are made. 100 rifles are made and rifled up, as are 100 pistols and 20 machine guns. Anti-Greek and Albanian nationalist propaganda is disseminated in Korfu and Epirus region. 1000 soldiers are recruited and general enrollment starts. A car bomb and two parcel bombs explode in Athens, killing the adjutant general, chief butler and chief masseuse of the German colonial regime’s leader in Greece. Albania invades Greece’s Epirus region without warning and makes some inroads into the ethnically Albanian land. An Alliance and free trading deal offered to Turkey, Switzerland, USSR and Iran if they want it. France’s alliance and trade deal is taken up. Marijuana and pornos are banned. Albania asks if it can make up a new Warsaw Pact/COMECON like grouping with the USSR and Iran, who are also Communist states. The grouping is to be called the ‘Tirana Pact’. Once Greece is free for the Greeks to live in and Epirus is ours, then we will make a peace treaty with our opponents in Europe. We claim Pieter Island in the Antarctic. We wish to make a film based on Korea's Imperishable Night series of books.
AvAReb 1954

Correct update?

  • Aussie R: 2000 rifles, two Kookaburra tanks, a corvette, six Gloster meteor copies, 1000 tonnes of coal and 2000 pistols are sent to Albania.
  • African Union: The African Union launches an invasion of Northern Rhodesia, mobilizing all of its republic forces for the invasion. The nuclear arsenal is expanded, and the development of ICBMs continues thanks to Italian technology. The African Union protests the CoLA's annexation of Haiti (Haiti would have never joined you) and calls upon DITO to aid the AU in taking Haiti back.
    • United Stats D: Any military attack against the CoLA will result in war against the United States.
  • Japan: Troops helping in Africa discover American weapons in their hands, and other US stuff. The US is asked for answers immediately. Work continues on all fields.
  • Stop meta-gaming.
  • Germany: Germany continues to work on its space program. The first satellite is launched into orbit, named Das Vaterland, or the Fatherland. It is used as a great propaganda tool for the people. Meanwhile, Entbindung Zentrums (Childbirth Centers) are opened all over the country. In order to create more people to use in its never-ending military and civilian projects, brainwashed women are sent to EZs where they are impregnated by paying German men. Children born from an EZ are sent to Kinderbetreuung Zentrums, where they are raised with propaganda and are brainwashed into serving the German state, the Fourth Reich. This creates a population boom where the growth rate skyrockets to 6.4 percent. This happens forcibly in occupied countries. All children sent to KZs are sorted into various groups, where some are trained from childhood to join the military while others become manual laborers, secretaries, clerks, and do other menial jobs. Slave labor continues in occupied countries. Greece is "welcomed" into the Fourth Reich.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: Diplomats in Berlin are impressed with the recent actions the Fourth Reich are performing, and asks for how we could make a Spanish-equivalent of an EZ. We also wish to speak with German higher-ups, on secret talks of possibly having France willingly join our alliance. Our three nations could rule Europe together.
    • German Diplomacy: The Fourth Reich sends over some diplomats to help set up their EZ system. They also consider having France join the Axis.
  • Sweden continues its research stuff. Space. Nukes. Furious, next year we will launch our own satellite. Military buildup. More secret money against Italy. NO META-GAMING. Stuff stuff staff.

AvAReborn 1954

Is this in any way correct for 1954.0.? I greyed the inactive USSR.

Currently, the USSR is in a civil war. That's why they haven't been participating. K?

  • (Sorry for being late turning the year)
  • Australia: 30 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and 12 more are sold to Switzerland and five are sold to Cuba and New Zealand. 25 ‘Wombat’ class fighter (MiG 17 comparable) jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue and it will probably be finalized in 1956. 4000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, ten medium passenger planes and six light ground attack planes are also made. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Bangkok and Timor. 100 rifles and a Humber armored car are sold to South Thailand, India and Ceylon. Mining improved in Queensland and Victoria. An irrigation and water collection system is set up around Alice Springs, and farms seed are sown more efficiently. Several stone quarries open in NSW. A population expatiation by a mass child breeding program still continues (population up 4.4%). Literacy campaigns continue in New Caledonia, Bangkok and Timor. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over eleven miles up before crashing into the desert 275 miles from the launch pad. Space research continues - our planned satellite launcher is born (launch date 1961). Australia continues to develop the client state of South Thailand. Its vassal the Shan State, and autonomous South Burma are merged and developed for a united and independent future as a united client state in about 1960, while Papua New Guinea, West Papua and Timor formally start to be integrated. New Zealand is given industrial help and resources to help in the building and testing of their 'Iron Duke'.
  • Italy: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues. Sweden is asked if we could rekindle friendly relations, and Italy halts funding Sweden's enemies. Italy launches the satellite Italia 1, and offers Sweden the tech to launch their own and the data it collected.
    • Oh. Yeah. Italy with space tech in the 50s? Yeah. NO.
    • And yet tiny Sweden can launch a satellite?
    • Sweden is a supa powa.
    • Australia D: Offers interim rocket designs to Italy and will help build Italia 1.
  • Serbia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • South Libya: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • North Libya: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Eritrea: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Ethiopia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Somalia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Slovenia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Macedonia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Montenegro: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Bosnia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Croatia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Tunisia: Military and nuke buildup continues. Space research continues.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the fourth issue of Imperishable Night (영야초), and she announces that it will be the last in the series and she will start a new series afterwards.
    • Canada orders a translated copy of the Korean book for the federal library.
    • Korean Diplomacy: Han Kyung-ni agrees, and ships translated (in British English and French) copies of the Manhwa, Imperishable Night (영야초), to Canada.
  • Canada: Color Cameras are invented but are extremely expensive to use. Military buildup continues. A rocket is fired from St. Johns, Newfoundland and reaches Prince Rupert in several hours. Offers the Nordic Council the plans for the Ballistic Missile. CCANZ is also offered the plans. Work begins on sizing down the nuclear bomb to fit in a small warhead to be fitted to the long range missile. The post war 'golden age' begins in Canada. Two more nukes are tested. Hydrogen weapons are researched continuously. Many more battleships are built and two more aircraft carriers are laid down. Continues to end Relations with the United States. Offers to buy Alaska from the U.S.A. to prevent American resource depletion. Offers the Nordic Union, CCANZ and the U.S.A. access to the Baffin Island test site for nukes and stuff. More Stuff is done. Joins the UN as an observer state, wants to have full control over its internal affairs. Offers all allied nations a steady supply of oil from the newly dipped-in-to Athabasca Oil Sands.
  • Australia at the UN: Read this- World Health Organisation (Axis vs Allies: Reborn Map Game)
  • Sweden does stuff. Military, space, nuke, tech buildup. We launch our satellite (finally), Scandinavia. Meanwhile, we continue to secretly fund against Italy. Also, the color TV Is launched. We continue work on a nuclear submarine.
  • The United States, shocked that Germany and Sweden had launched a satellite, begins constructing a satellite, and it will be launched next year. Research into space flight continues, while research into modern technology continues. Colored TV's are launched in the United States, while sanctions are imposed on Spain with or without consent from the IL. Production of nuclear weapons continues, while funding DITO rebels continues. The United States agrees to support the eradication of polio and other diseases determined by Australia to be a threat and need to be eradicated. Construction on research stations across its new Antarctic Territory begins. Another supercarrier is laid down, while research into nuclear-power continues. The United States supports the sanctioning of Spain, while the CoLA is asked if it will need support should the AU attempt to retake Haiti.
    • Germany did first, BTW :D
    • Canada Offers to buy Alaska from the U.S.A. to prevent American resource depletion.
    • No.
  • Saudi Arabia: Officially creates the Muslim League between Saudi Arabia, Syria and Lebanon. Every member is allowed to keep their own version of Islam but tension continues between the various groups. Syria and Lebanon begin to receive money and Syria receives support to develop its oil. Sweden and America are offered an alliance.
  • African Union: The AU accepts the German offer of an alliance as a way of thanking them for their space program assistance (Pita wanted it, so here). News of the British mistreatment of the Kenyans and the plight of the Mau Mau reach Pretoria, and the government orders a full-fledged war against British East Africa to stop the inhumane treatment of the African population.
  • Spain: As a response to the U.S. threat of sanctions, two carriers, each carrying five E-N-X Bramar jet bombers, each carrying a nuclear bomb, are placed 250 km off the coast of Delaware, being guarded by a fleet of ten destroyers, two battleships, and 50 E-49 Vencedor jet fighters. These ships are also ordered to open fire if any attempt for US Navy or Air Force to interfere occurs, and will be seen as a declaration of war. Back in Spain, development on chemical weapons and the hydrogen bomb continue, while biological and EMP weaponry starts development in labs near Valencia. In spite of potential sanctions, in order to claim to the people of Spain that they live on the best country, the Sede de Españoles (Spanish Head Office, or literally, Head of Spain), which will be the largest and most expensive structure ever built, along with the tallest building in Madrid. (It's the OTL Palace of the Parliament of Romania), and will be used as propaganda that Spain is the wealthiest. The Sede de Españoles will not be completed until 1962 at the earliest, however, so most footage is actually miniatures. Censorship continues on revolts in Africa, though there are talks being considered with Saudi Arabia about offering the Spanish Arab Dominion semi-independence, including allowing them to elect their own Prime Minister, as long as Spain holds a complete hold on oil wells, as long as Saudi Arabia signs a non-aggression pact with Spain, along with remaining neutral. Construction continues on nuclear bombs, with eight more having been produced, and a hydrogen bomb that will be tested when completed by September. Colour camera technology is sneaked into Spain, which looks suspiciously like Canada's technology. All films will be mandated to be filmed in colour, starting January 1, 1956, with TVE to begin broadcasting in colour by the early 60's.
    • American D: Remove your vessels away from the coast or face imminent attack from the United States.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: The ships are 50 km away from the threat zone, and at least 250 km away from the coast. We will only move our ships away if the IL stops the threat of sanctions. What's more important, millions of lives, or bullying other countries against your philosophies.
    • American D: Remove your ships. We will not back down (I'm using the brinkmanship policy, at least that's what I think it's called).
    • Spanish Diplomacy: We will not move our ships. Any attempt to attack the ships will result in a destructive counterattack. (Yes, you're right, it's called the Brinkmanship Policy).
    • Be realistic, Spain. None of you realize that: A) Every and I mean every nation followed the MAD Doctrine, meaning that not even Franco would be stupid enough to wake the sleeping tiger like that. B) You're kind of overplaying your capabilities.
    • I'm pretty sure Franco, being an insane Fascist, would think he could overtake the United States (Franco didn't, since Spain made itself pro-NATO (didn't actually join NATO until 1982) in the 50's, due to his and America's hatred of Communism and the Soviets). Besides, there may be a coup going on, by more level-headed higher-ups who realize that the United States could obliterate Spain.
  • Canada: offers Spain an Alliance, tired of America's attitude towards foreigners.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: While we want to accept Canada's offer, we are not sure, since Spain is aligned with Germany, and Canada is aligned with Sweden, and we don't know if either side will support a Canadian-Spanish alliance.
    • American D: We ask Canada what attitude to foreigners?
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The nuclear arsenal is built up. The modern, large Latin American Atlantic Fleet is mobilized and placed on high alert with orders to destroy any Spanish ship coming any closer than 250 km off the coast. LABC is broadcast in color for the first time. The government invests massive amounts of money into the development of the only two poor regions of the country, the DR and Haiti. The House passes a resolution funding separatist movements in the Italian client states..
  • Denmark: Re-offers the Nordic Union idea, now under the name Atlantic-Arctic Borderline Region Council. We say that Sweden shall ally with Italy as they are both ILEAN members. Instead, we should focus on Germany. Build nukes and research for hydrogen bombs.
    • Canada Accepts.
    • Sweden accepts, but we are not allying with Italy.
  • India: The trade deal with Australia is accepted. The government rules that any member of the army must be based quite far from his home, so as to lessen the chance of revolt (similar to the Ancient Roman policy). This is enacted to quell Hindu opposition to the formation of the RoTC. Gandhists become more powerful within the government. We call for urgent help in combating Polio and Smallpox. A large program of Education is started, so as to prevent India from falling behind technologically. To this end we request up-to-date textbooks on many subjects from whoever is willing to provide, ranging from early learning to university level and specialist works.
    • Australian D: We send you the books.
  • Cuba: (Sorry I didn't put one for the last round) Cuba has invested in gold during the beginning of 1953, and has begun to sell the gold it has to other countries. Besides the new trade agreement with Spain, the CCANZ, and the alliance with the United States, nothing much has changed with diplomacy in the world. There has been a rumor that there is a Cuban Revolution going on, but Devaro declined any Communist revolution would go on in his country.
    • Canada Diplomacy to Cuba: Offers a small task force of 1500 men to be stationed in Cuba to help quell any rebellions.
  • Switzerland: Swiss citizens are worried at the current nuclear crisis, and in a speech, the Swiss president tells everyone that any and all nuclear bombers or ICBMs that fly over Swiss airspace will be destroyed by the defense systems (even though he knows that the current defenses are futile against ICBMs). Imperishable Night becomes popular in Switzerland, and the SBC asks if they can get a copy of the film version dubbed in German. SANDP and the SRA continue their research. a successful launch of a large rocket occurs this year, but it was not carrying a payload of any kind.
  • USSR: begins to support Japan and its allies..
  • Germany: With the conquest of Germany going well, Germany turns its attention Eastward. German troops march into the other half of Poland while the Soviet Union, currently embroiled in civil war is too distracted to try to defend. The EZs and KZs continue to pump out brainwashed children.
  • Aussie D: Watch it baby! Gen Cordilio is not the only clown in Europe!

1954.5[]

  • Extremely late decolonization begins. Jordan becomes an independent kingdom. Libya rebels against Italy and succeeds. Tunisia tries to do so but fails.
  • The Chinese Revolution begins. The three Chinese vassal states present a united front to the Japanese. They will emerge victorious next year. Manchuria is loyal. The Greeks begins massive rebellion against the Germans, followed by the Romanians, Hungarians and the other Balkan states. In the USSR, the Trotskyists enter a civil war with the Stalinist-Leninists. Trotsky on Bulganin. More on that next year. A HYOOOOOOOOOOJ revolution begins in Quebec and Southern Ontario. They ask for help from 'Murica and Murican friends. Shyot is going down.
    • I gave Quebec extremely high levels of autonomy...
    • Pita Pita Pita, one word for the Chinese revolution ...IMPLAUSIBLE!! For many reasons.
    1. I have full DITO support.
    2. Even without ANY support, It would take like a decade.
    3. USSR has a piece of China too.
    4. The third vassal is ruled by Mao Zedong and is made up mostly of his followers, not to mention you have no algorithm
    5. All of the Japanese Empire combined, including the Japanese loyalists, have a greater pop than China. And if somehow they won... We would re-invade and probably nuke them.
    6. China would not like Japan, but a revolt would take a few years. Mao's bit would probably openly revolt. Quebec may want out, but why southern Ontario, unless it's been conquered? The River Nile-2 (talk) 17:36, February 16, 2013 (UTC)
    7. Don't forget DITO and Chemical weapons, Nile, and if it took a war machine like us ten, it should take them 20-30.
    8. Sorry for forgetting the chems, not everyone is behind the time as Australia, sorry. The River Nile-2 (talk)
    • It doesn't matter. It's a mod event. And it wasn't Pita.
    • I know it was not Pita. The River Nile-2 (talk)
    • Than that is abusive mod powers to the top level. I will play your little game and I will win. After all, that's where my scientists, a lot of things improving my economy and ports are.
  • Australia: Forest fires are put out by Cairns, but many continue by Brisbane. 30 copies of the UK’s Gloster Meteor are made and 12 more are sold to Switzerland and five are sold to Cuba, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand. 30 ‘Wombat’ class fighter (MiG 17 comparable) jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with some success and it will probably be finalized in 1956. 3000 rifles, Ten Kookaburra tanks, ten medium passenger planes and six light ground attack planes are also made. A cruiser and three destroyers are laid down. An old Frigate is sold to New Zealand and an old corvette is sold to Cuba. Mining copper and Barite begins to go crazy at Mt Jukes, Mt Morgan, Mt Darwin and Mt Isa- It’s not nuclear or new weapons, it’s a smart and novel OTL type civil move I will reveal on completion in 1955.5, if we are still alive. Mount Fitch is also mined for uranium and nearby Browns polymetallic ore deposit slightly for lead, nickel, copper and silver. Urban nuclear shelters and bunkers begin to be made. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Melbourne, Macquarie Harbour and Timor. 400 rifles and two Humber armored cars are sold to Oman, Federation of Lanka (Ceylon), the USSR and India. An irrigation and water collection system is set up around Alice Springs, and farms seed are sown more efficiently. A population expatiation by a mass child breeding program still continues. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over ten miles up before crashing into the desert 278 miles from the launch pad. Space research continues- it’s our planned satellite launcher is born. Australia continues to develop the client state of Australian Indochina is developed for a united and independent future as a united non-client state in about 1960. We plan to launch our satellite Sheila in 1959/1960 and join the DITO space program. Meanwhile, we continue to secretly fund Albanian against Germany. Also, color TV Is launched in most urban locations. We are glad that the NHL exists as does a Canada-USA-Mexico ice hockey global sporting championship. Australia offers a mutual defense treaty to New Zealand. Australia wishes to join the international championship next turn. Apparently, there are no Olympics or World Cup in this world, so we offer to host an international sports tournament in Melbourne, in 1955. All nations are invited to play. The sports are- Mens/Womens ice hockey, Mens/Women's field hockey, Mixed gender snooker, Mens/Womens 25 m rapid fire pistol, Mens 10-mile cycling, Mens boxing, Mens/Women's basketball and Mens/Womens wheelchair basketball.
      • Cuban D: We accept your invitation to play in this international sports tournament.
      • Indian Diplomacy: We accept with pleasure.
      • Japanese D: Always accepts to sports.
      • Canadian Diplomacy: The Olympics are accepted. Proposes to Britain a "Commonwealth Games"
  • Switzerland: SRA and SANDP research continues. Color television becomes introduced into Switzerland, and immediately becomes popular. Swiss schools begin mandatory nuclear drills, which involve students evacuating to the nearest shelter in case of a nuclear strike. Swiss officials are not as worried about being hit by nuclear weapons, because they may be the last to be hit, or not hit at all, and citizens would have plenty of time to seek shelter. They are, however, worried about nuclear fallout coming in from Italy and Germany.
  • NZ: Color television is introduced in becomes a massive hit. The Southern Cross super-dirigible (the largest flying object in history) is launched and is outfitted with an apparatus capable of launching a space plane-type vehicle into Earth orbit from a built-in launching rail. On August 1, 1954, New Zealand's newly formed New Zealand Space Agency (NZSA) takes the dangerous step of skipping an unmanned flight (they already know enough about unmanned flights from observing Sweden and Germany's flights and from their high-altitude tests), and sends the Southern Cross to its maximum altitude of 170,000 feet. Then, astronaut Maj. Alec Maynard's ((OOC: sorry, had to make up a character, because I couldn't find any test pilots or whatever)) space plane-like craft, Falcon 1, was fired from a specially-designed rail on the back of the dirigible, and orbited the Earth once before, as planned, shedding its ming section and splashing down near Peleliu, where he was picked up by the destroyer HMNZS Gallant. He is treated to parades in New Zealand's major cities. Meanwhile, New Zealand's long-delayed aircraft carrier, the HMNZS Christchurch, is finally launched with great fanfare, and the NZSA announces their intention to carry out another launch very soon. (OOC: I hope to god I didn't make this implausible...)
    • Aussie D: Can we start political relations with the United Empire of Ethiopia.
    • NZ D: Australia, we accept your mutual defense treaty.
      • Space planes in 1954?
      • It could be one like Chuck Yeager's OTL one- [|Bell_X-1.]
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing the fourth issue of Imperishable Night (영야초) and is almost finished, and she will release it next year.
  • Spain: After an attempted coup in the upper government, including an assassination attempt (resembling the July 20 Plot in OTL) which would have killed the Caudillo and Capitán General Francisco Franco, EELFA General del aire Hector Carlos, EELA Almirante General Juan de García and EELGN Teniente General Fernando Morales. After the explosion occurred, five officers are dead, though the Caudillo, while injured, survives with a bloody burn across his cheek, which is to be used as propaganda of his brave survival. EELFT General de Ejército, Andrés Alfonso, is discovered to be behind the assassination, along with 2000 other conspirators, and are all sentenced to death in a public execution, along with their families, to all be burned alive in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, including their wives and children, saying that this group of people were aligned with the cowardly CoLA, and were working to destroy Spain. Eight more nuclear bombs are developed and the first hydrogen bomb is tested out in the Tabernas Desert, though results were not as anticipated, though some accuse the bomb was a defect, and was barely any more powerful than a regular A-bomb. However, these plans will go back to the drawing board, and join the EMP, biological and chemical weaponry labs for further development in the military. Starts the setting up of Spanish equivalence of EZ's and KZ's with the help of engineers directly from Germany, these being named the Centro de Población (Population Centre), which will use women who volunteer for their country to make great children, to raise the population, and receive payment from the government (Pretty much, glorified brothels). Then these children will go to a Centro de Cuidado Infantil (Child Care Center, pretty much direct translation from German to Spanish), where many will be taught warfare skills, while others will be taught other menial tasks, similar to what Germany is doing. Construction on all military and warfare equipment continues. With the attempted unjustified sanction threat failed, the EELA orders the carriers and guarding warships to pull away from the "War Line", telling that the U.S. is lucky that this fell through. With a move like this, the Spanish may not be able to make a tactic like that, considering that America will be more prepared next time, though no casualties come out of the crisis, with only five shots fired as warning shots reportedly from a US Navy destroyer. This will mean that the Spanish will need to have a much larger fleet the next time a crisis like this occurs. In the future, the military will receive much higher funding to build better, stronger and faster equipment, along with EELFT Teniente General, David Casillas, who help the Caudillo during the explosion, is promoted to the General de Ejército as a reward, and to replace the traitor. While news of the revolts in Africa is now only semi-censored, stating instead that the British were cruel towards the South African blacks, so they revolted against their English oppressors. Talks are heard, about allowing the Spanish Arab Dominion to receive semi-independence, and elect their own Prime Minister, on the rule that the Spanish receive all the oil from the wells of the SAD.
  • Canada: Color TV is introduced and its popularity reaches an all time high. Another rocket is fired into the atmosphere and makes it into orbit. A satellite design begins to be built. The first Aircraft Carrier that was laid down and built a while ago is launched under the name of HMCS Commonwealth, two more are laid down. Two more nukes are tested. The soldiers in Europe are ready to be mobilized by 1955.5 in the DITO invasion of Germany's client states. A macaroni and cheese product is launched to the public by the government ration department. The lower to mid middle class widely enjoys it and a private corporation is invested in to produce this product for the public. Preparations to completely shut down Canada's borders are made. Three more nukes are tested. A new type of SMG and MG (Sub Machine Gun and Machine gun, comparable to the Tommy Gun) is developed and mass produced, arming the entire armed forces stationed in Europe, Canada, Indochina and Cuba. Begins to majorly dip into the Athabasca Oil Sands.
    • Canada, you are very implausible. This would never happen. What exactly are you trying to do by being unnecessarily hostile to the US? This is also illegal under the Rush-Bagot treaty which demilitarized the US-Canadian border'''' indefinitely.
    • I meant permanently. Go read the treaty.
    • Canada, you are being g3redigherdnguildwjksghbwvuildjgkwhguwjgbwuislgjkws-ingly implausible, OK? America is YO FEND (your friend). Aight?
    • Look, I'm tired and I am having the rare mood swings and can't think things through. I apologise to America OreoToast555 (talk) 05:08, February 16, 2013 (UTC)
    • Also, the borders were not being shut down because of America, protection from the probable threat of disease spreading as seen in the WHO. OreoToast555 (talk)
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The nuclear arsenal is built up. The Atlantic Fleet is demobilized and the alert is moved to the lowest level. Hispaniola continues to be developed. The Prime Minister (acts like the Secretary of State of the US) reiterates the CoLA's neutrality in any petty affairs of the Europeans. Britain is asked if we can purchase the Falkland Islands.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: If CoLA claims to be neutral in the affairs of Europeans, why do you constantly target us as the enemy?
    • You're Fascist and we hate Fascists.
  • The United States, seeing the increase in militarization and hostility by the Canadians, decides to pass the Border Control Act, which is signed by Eisenhower. The bill establishes a border fence along the US-Canadian Border and the US-Mexico Border, the Border Patrol is drastically expanded, and monitoring both Canada and Mexico begins. Domestic drilling for oil continues, while the United States launches its first satellite into orbit - making it the third successful nation to do so. Research into all modern technologies in society, the military, transportation, economics, medical, and culture continues. President Eisenhower asks to meet with Franco in Switzerland to discuss the end of the Atlantic Naval Crisis. Color TV programs are becoming more popular.
    • Sweden has made a decision. After considering everything, we have decided that the US is the closest thing we have to a non-ally. As such, we request an alliance with the US, as we share almost all our common enemies.
    • The United States thanks Sweden and agrees to the alliance.
  • The Prime Minister of the CoLA, as the nation's top diplomat, will also be at the conference in Switzerland.
  • Swiss D: Why is there a conference in Switzerland that we don't know about?
  • Aussie D: We don't know, sir! We thought it had finished and you had been told.
  • NZ: The NZSA launches a second astronaut into orbit and deploys the starting materials for a space station. The government of Sidney Holland collapses and a general election is held, with National Party candidate former RAF Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park (hero of the OTL Battle of Britain) winning the election. Park is appalled at the Spanish government's public execution plans, making a passionate speech denouncing the Caudillo and demanding his resignation, and a riot erupts at the Spanish consulate in Auckland, which burns to the ground before police are able to get the crowd under control. 135 arrests are made, but anti-Spanish sentiment rages in New Zealand. The Christchurch is dispatched to the southern Atlantic with an escort of destroyers and submarines.
    • Whoah, whoah, no no. No astronaut yet. No rocket for you until 1959.
    • Sorry, forgot to mention that it wasn't a rocket. It was an X-1-like space-plane launched from the dirigible Southern Cross.
  • Saudi Arabia: Welcomes the Spanish initiative to give more autonomy to his North African territories. The Muslim League continue to develop its members and the king declares neutrality in any European conflict. Color TV is introduced in Saudi Arabia and quickly become popular. As the taste of modernity grow, many reactionary and liberal groups appear.
  • Cuba: Demanded from the citizens for three years straight, Cuba reaches Color TV. Cuba has exported gold and several other resources including cobalt, nickel, iron ore, chromium, copper, salt, timber, silica, petroleum, and tobacco. After getting out of debt, and having the money it needs, it paid money to form the National Cuban Space Agency (or NCSA), and offers the United States, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, CoLA, Spain, and New Zealand a space organization. Cuba also advises CoLA to not worry about other country's governments, and advices Spain to stop worrying about the hostility of CoLA and the USA. Cuba also manages to have its first stable government. Due to the world at the edge of war between superpowers, Cuba deployed much of their military around the island. The government, despite trying to resolve the hostilities, has declared that it will stay neutral in any war unless it benefits Cuba, or if one of its allies gets invaded.
  • Denmark: Buys color TV technology from Canada for use of Denmark Radio. General election held, Venstre still in government, but for the first time, a right-wing populist party was elected into the Parliament. Denmark laughs at Cuba, seeing its effort to bring a too wide block together as New Zealand already stated they won't negotiate with Spain, and the US can't calm down its tensions with Canada and Spain at all. With war heating up, Denmark continues to expand the military and build nukes and build the economy and research for hydrogen bomb, etc.
    • American D: We will tell Denmark now. Canada and Spain started the hostilities, not us.
    • Denmark D: We didn't say you started, we just say the tensions can't be calmed anymore. I didn't notice when Canada started the hostilities, but Spain is clear and I'm going to either declare neutrality or fight against the Fascists in the next war.
  • India: We ask to purchase one million Soviet AK-47s. from whichever side will supply in return for support in the international community. We thank Australia for the Textbooks and begin to put them to good use. We would ask CoLA and/or Canada to send us much wood so we can build desks, tables and pencils to equip these new schools. Gandhists grow more powerful in the government and with elections coming up next year they look to be taking control. We declare Neutral in any forthcoming war unless our friend Australia is invaded.
    • Cuban Diplomacy: India, we would like to establish a resource trade agreement.
    • Indian Diplomacy: We are open to such a deal but tell us what you offer first.
    • Cuban: (It's in the country description) we offer gold, cobalt, nickel, iron ore, chromium, copper, salt, timber, silica, petroleum, and tobacco. What do you have to offer?
    • Aussie D: Can we join or help NCSA. We offer India nickel, iron ore, wood, lamb wool, lamb meat, salt, lead and gold.
  • African Union: The AU (for the record is the African EU-one alliance, many nations) continues the extend its space program building a number of launch sites in Katanga, perfectly suited to the task given its position on the Equator. The military undergoes expansion, and the government reveals its newest plan, Project Shaka Zulu. The project, based on the German and Australian ones, is aimed at creating a new generation of physically, mentally, and emotionally robust Africans, and doing so to replace the current generation of African citizens. Highly educated, and well rounded, this new generation is to disprove every racist theory ever directed toward Africans over the centuries. The project aims for five million children to be born through the strict criteria of the project by 1958.
  • If the AU is anything like the EU, one player cannot play the whole union.
  • Britain: More ICBMs are produced as the military in East Africa is bolstered. Britain tells the African Union, "We are sick of your blood-lust. We do not want to put you down, but if you keep attacking nations, we will be forced to intervene. This is your last warning."
  • Japan: Gets color TV. Military is improved. The JSPO is notified of a small rebellion and they round up some leaders and publicly execute them by disembowelment. The revolt goes on a minor stage, and is expected to be put down soon. Britain is told to stop threatening the AU or face retaliation. Spain and Canada are also told this, as the US is a good ally and is wanted intact.
  • New Zealand- Something bizarre is happening near Lake Taupo. A titanic, half-circle-shaped hangar has been built there, and several massive jet engines have been shipped there under cover of darkness. Armed guards have been carrying automatic weapons, and air patrols over the area have been stepped up. The hangar is estimated to be 600 m in diameter. Some claim that they have seen black helicopters land outside carrying high-ranking RNZAF brass at night, and, according to one somewhat specious claim, the Prime Minister himself. Whatever is going on there, the government is not talking.
  • Australian panic D: Australia gives its Indochinese state independence five years early due to rising nationalism. All troops are recalled from overseas duty to Dili in Timor. Australia will have free trade deals with them and a military base in the capitals to prevent a takeover by others unless the mods kick the Aussies out or players take the nations over, making the Aussie troopers obsolete. The River Nile-2 (talk) 18:16, February 16, 2013 (UTC)
  • Canada Offers 1500 soldiers in the Indonesian Archipelago for support. Half of the 300,000 soldiers that were sent to Europe to deal with Germany are recalled to help quell the Quebecois revolution. Propaganda is issued to the public to help with peacekeeping in Quebec. An Act to help calm the Quebec public "the Multiculturalism act" is signed to give Francophones more rights in Canada. Canada has backed down from the USA-Spain conflicts.
  • Aussie D: send them to Timor, just in case. New Guinea and NC are OK.
  • Germany: Germany continues to militarize heavily. Seeing the Soviet Union embroiled in civil war, Germany begins Case Barbarossa, or the invasion of Soviet-held Ukraine in order to take away the main breadbasket of Russia and give it to the Germans. The Ukraine is relatively untouched by the civil war, which is mostly in the north in Moscow, Leningrad, etc. They do it under the guise of "restoring peace and order to the area of the Ukraine." However, it is actually in order to secure a stable source of food for the ever-growing Fourth Reich. Meanwhile, German bombers begin demolishing Soviet oil drilling equipment in the Caspian Sea in order to deprive the Russians of oil for their tanks and such. Moldova is smashed through on the way to Ukraine.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: To reaffirm our alliance, we offer to send 150,000 soldiers, along with 300 jet fighters/bombers, 1300 tanks and 2000 armored vehicles to assist in the war against the Soviets.
  • You cannot control how the Civil War happens. It is a mod event.
    • A mod event created by... me! LOL.
    • So? Your nation is not a mod. You cannot control this via your nation posts. Also, remember that Sweden and Italy nuked half of the main German population back in the 40s.
    • Half is an overstatement. More like 3 percent. And Germany killed over 20% of Sweden back then too. And what's wrong with hitting the Caspian?
    • If you hit it too hard all the water will splash out over the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia and Turkey! The River Nile-2 (talk)

  • The Soviet Internal Struggle completes. The whole USSR invades Germany. China wins independence. China gains a small spot in Soviet protection. The global revolutions continue.
  • Australia:
    Tanisha Wright

Australian ATL lead basketball/netball player Rosie Emma Namatjira is lionized and promoted as a national hero ruthlessly prior next turn's Melbourne sporting toulemet. She is one-quarter Aborigine by birth.

West Indochina becomes independent and the Thai King is its friendly leader. New Guinea and Timor continue to be integrated and developed. Forest fires are put around by Sidney. Ten ‘Wombat’ class fighter jets are made. The low level nuclear tests continue, with a successful one KT test blast and it will probably be finalized in 1956-56.5. A total of five small bombs as a last ditch weapon are planned. The economy begins to fold up due to heavy spending on defense and in the “Aussie Empire” as the national media call it! Prime Minister Menzies is badly questioned by the media and his own Parliament over the issue. A new coal mine opens in New South Wales and Adelaide is industrially developed. 4000 rifles, six Kookaburra tanks, five medium passenger planes and ten light ground attack planes are also made. A cruiser, three coastal patrol subs and a destroyer are laid down. The cruiser, two coastal patrol subs and three destroyers laid down last turn are turned out and launched. Mining copper and Barite continues to go crazy at Mt Jukes, Mt Morgan, Mt Darwin and Mt Isa- It’s not nuclear or weapons, it’s a smart and novel OTL civil move I will reveal on completion in 1955.5, if we are still alive. Mt Fitch is also mined slightly more for lead, copper, nickel and silver. Urban nuclear shelters and bunkers begin to be made. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Melbourne, Mt Isa mine, New Caledonia, Macquarie Harbour and Timor. The population expatiation by a mass child breeding program starts to wind down with a population growth of 5.54%. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over eleven miles up before crashing into the desert 295 miles from the launch pad. Space research continues and a primitive satellite design begins to be built. We plan to launch our satellite Sheila in 1960/1961 and join the DITO space program. Australia develops roads and farming in Nauru, West Papua, Tasmania and New Caledonia. Meanwhile, urban schools begin mandatory nuclear drills, which involve students evacuating to the nearest shelter in case of a nuclear strike, but the shelters are mostly still only part built. The Darwin-Alice Springs-Adelaide highway is finally completed 18 years after an official over sight (my carelessness as a player) had ended it at only 75% complete. Thanks to those nations who have pledged to join next turn's Melbourne's Olympics style sports tournament. Australia plans to keep out of the Soviet civil war, but as a one-off act, it makes a small move for the interests of the Cossacks. Both anti-German/Communist Cossack nationalism is covertly promoted with propaganda in the Don Basen and Kuban. Secretly a total of 400 rifles and two Humber armored cars are sold to local Cossack rebels in the Kuban (OTL the Cossacks rebelled against Communism in 1919-22 and World War 2). Australia then backs off and leaves Russia for good.
  • Sweden develops the first nuclear sub, comparable to the OTL USS Nautilus.
  • Switzerland: Research for SANDP and the SRA continue. the SBC begins selling programming in Liechtenstein. The Swiss air force purchases its 150th and final jet fighter for the time being. And in a show of patriotism, the new Swiss fighters thunder across the airspace over Switzerland. A Swiss doctor begins looking into cases of cancer, and other medical problems that Swiss citizens had contracted shortly after the nuking of Germany. All of the people had contracted a similar disease, and all had lived near the German border. He believes that nuclear fallout may cause acute radiation poisoning, but he is still doing research. Switzerland asks to be admitted into the IL as an observer.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni finishes writing the fourth issue of Imperishable Night (영야초) and releases it. She soon begins planning out a new series (name to be determined) and will have Seiga Kaku and Yoshika Miyako as returning characters, along with a few new characters.
  • Japan: Having forces being pushed out. We nuke Shanghai and Beijing, as well as a third that does not go off. The DITO forces than reenter China, and steamrolls over them. Scientific work continues.
  • Canada: Quebec Rebellions begin to be quelled by peacekeeping forces, propaganda and promises for the future. Quebec will not be given independence. However, they will be treated as an Independent people group. The Quebec Provincial government is given the right to create their own "Constitution", as to function independently from the laws. Stereotyping the Quebec French population is frowned upon, but cannot be outlawed. All of the Military stationed in Europe, leaves Europe. 1500 soldiers are sent to Timor in Australia. Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent feels that World War 3 may or may not have been averted due to the amount of civil events internationally. Will send the 300,000 troops back to Europe to help the Soviets crush the Fascists, if needed. Military buildup continues, MRBMs are developed and produced.
    • Quebec demands full independence.
    • The Prime Minister Gives in and gives Quebec (within its provincial borders, north of the St Lawrence river) independence as a vassal or Protectorate state.
  • African Union: The government begins to reach out and supply rebel movements across all of Africa, promising the rebels prominent positions within the growing union in exchange for convincing the new African nations to join as constitute republics. Elsewhere, in response to the news of the Swedish nuclear submarine, the AU begins work on building their own with the extensive knowledge of nuclear technology to construct their own vessel. The government positions itself to peacefully incorporate new territories into the union.
    • Now, I shall explain myself. To both keep my vassals and lessen the amount of typing I'd have to do, I created the supranational entity known as the African Union. This way, I can govern all of my vassals and my nation directly, while establishing the fact that all of my vassals are equal to my nation politically (in name that is; South Africa is still king). It's a bit complicated to explain, and I'm not the best speaker. So read it as you may, but the AU is my alliance of vassals under the hegemonic leadership of South Africa.
    • It's OK.The River Nile-2 (talk)
    • Nile, who on Earth gave you jurisdiction over this game?

    • Saudi Arabia: The Muslim League members continue to have their economy and military built up and Saudi Arabia began to develop the first Arab carrier. The support to the separatist group in southern Arabia continue and is increased as the British empire is finally punished for their arrogance. The navy began to be upgraded and built up; with some frigates and many smaller ships.
    • Cuba: Has thanked Canada for the military backup in Cuba. Elections happened last year and Devaro was inaugurated for a second term and ten more years, to fully rebuild and expand Cuba. The Cuban Government has asked its ally, the United States to please give it some money to help launch a satellite for its space program, and in return repay the U.S soon. Cuba has allowed full tourism in its country. Cuba's president asked the government to build Varadero (its capital) into the nation's largest city.
  • Denmark: Confused with the current state of the world, Denmark mass produced nukes for the following five years, with 12 nukes per year (stable uranium source from Canada and Australia). Calls for a summit of the Nordic Council with Netherlands as an invitee for an invasion of Germany. Scared of what is happening with the Soviet Union, we declare loud and clear that Communism is no better than Fascism, that they are both autocratic non-democratic regimes that kill thousands to millions of lives each year. Builds nukes ready to claim back Schleswig-Holstein.
  • Aussie D: Uranium is coming your way.
  • Spain: The first 25 Basque-class nuclear submarines are launched, each one attached with two nuclear warheads. The next 25 will still be built, but will remain docked at EELA bases. The first sub, named the Basque-Uno, is tested, where with nuclear capacities, may remain submerged much longer than the non-nuclear Cataluna-class, and though is not as well prepared for subsurface combat. Condemns Soviet attacks on Germany, stating that the even when the Soviet Union was on our side, they never really trusted them, due to Communism being the anti-Fascism. (Honestly, even I thought it was pretty fishy, the Soviets working alongside the Nazi's earlier). With the economy's recession getting worse, in order to keep up military funding, the EEL receives a raise from 20% to 25% of the GDP. Also, to continue stating that there is no recession, the massive Spanish Head Office continues construction, which continues to be gloried propaganda. All black-and-white theatrical films are banned, in order to encourage development of coloured films with the new technology, where black-and-white films are relegated to TVE broadcasts. The CP's and CCI's continue with positive results, and resort an increase in government-sanctioned child births. eight more nuclear bombs are produced, and work returns on a proper design for an H-bomb, now believed to be behind American, Swedish and German research. The Spanish Arab Dominion is to be given full independence in the fall (1955.5), along with military equipment upon independence, in return for total claim on oil wells. This is used as a claim that the Spanish are kinder and better intentioned than the British and Italians, and will let go of their colonies. Continues to look for buyers of Spanish oil, not knowing if Bulgaria, Hungary or Romania will continue buying the oil, due to being right in the middle of the war between the Germans and the Soviets. Blueprints of fast-attack frigates and destroyers are in process, with the final plans to be laid out by the end of the year.
  • India: Elections are held and Gandhists take control of the Government with an overwhelming majority. Pan-Indianism is promoted, and nationalism held up as a bond to unite a fractured society. (No, we will not go Fascist - we are left wing nationalists). In a radical, but not unsurprising move the government outlaws discrimination against 'Untouchables' on pain of imprisonment or a hefty fine. Schools improve. We offer to send Cuba 16 tigers and 30 Indian Elephants for a zoo to help promote your tourism industry in return for your resources.
  • France: Roads improved in France and Africa colonies. Nuclear test in Bay of Biscay.
  • NZ: New Zealand continues building the mysterious object near Lake Taupo. A local man claims that he managed to sneak inside and saw a flying-wing aircraft with a wingspan of at least 600 m, but the government quickly denies this and pays a visit to the man's house, ordering him to cease and desist. The government issues a so-called "gag order"- forbidding the press from mentioning the developments at Lake Taupo. Meanwhile, seeing the increasing probability of nuclear war, the NZ government begins excavating a massive bunker, nicknamed the "Doomsday Bunker," deep under the Fox Glacier on the South Island. There is a major breakthrough in the nuclear program as New Zealand scientists split the iron atom, a significant step towards splitting the uranium atom. A second aircraft carrier, the Dunedin, is launched, and a third, the Captain 'James Cook, is begun. The Christchurch continues patrolling the Atlantic, and several tense standoffs with EELA submarines occur. However, the Royal New Zealand Navy forces manage to avoid conflict. The NZSA prepares to launch another flight from the X1-like "space plane" Falcon 2. (I hope that's not implausible, given that I was allowed to launch a flight earlier). School children commence atomic attack drills, and thousands of concrete bunkers are mass-produced for use by neighborhoods and schools. An NZBC (New Zealand Broadcasting Company) series based off of Imperishable Night is a huge hit.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The nuclear arsenal is built up. Hispaniola continues to be developed. The Directors are glad at the result of the Prime Minister's meeting with Eisenhower and Franco in Zurich.
  • Aussie D: Fancy a trade deal in agricultural and consumer goods?
  • Germany: Having civil unrest in their borders, Germany withdraws from half of the Ukraine. They begin sending troops to crush the rebellions in Eastern Europe.

1955.5[]

AVArb 1955

1955.5. Is it correct?

  • Australia: The Melbourne Sporting event is a success and Australia, Cuba, Canada, India, Japan and their client states do well! It was an awesome sporting event! PNG, West New Guinea and Timor continue to be integrated and developed and given light industry. The low nuclear tests continue, with a successful 1kt test blast at Woomara and it will in 1956.5. A total of five low yield bombs are to be made next turn as last ditch weapons after 1956.5. The economy begins to fold up badly due to heavy spending on defense and in the “Aussie Empire” as the national media call it! The cruiser, two coastal patrol subs and three destroyers are laid down last turn last turn are made. Some farming equipment, translated school books and 500 rifles are given to India, Saudi Arabia, NZ, Japan, Korea and Cuba. Aussie nuke test data and Uranium is offered to help NZ's program. The mining copper and the mineral Barite finally stops going crazy at Mt Jukes, Mt Morgan, Mt Darwin and Mt Isa. It’s not nuclear or weapons, it’s a smart and novel OTL civil move in oil and adapted for ATL copper. I revel with its completion! The unnaturally huge masses we dug and proceeded for a whole year, that copper is all sold off in one go as a deliberate move to ruin the copper market by flooding it with an over-supply (OTL Saudis Set to Bankrupt Iran with Flood of Oil [[1]])! If you are over-reliant on copper and are not a big hitter like OTL Zambia, Australia or Chile, then your bankrupt, since copper is fiscally worthless now!!! Cool trick, man! Mt Fitch is also mined slightly more for lead, uranium and silver. Urban nuclear shelters and bunkers mostly made. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Port Moresby, Melbourne, Kilgoorie mine, New Caledonia and Timor. The population expatiation by a mass child breeding program ends with a population growth of 5.95%. A rocket is launched from Woomera rocket test range and it travels over eleven miles up before crashing into the desert 323 miles from the launch pad. Space research continues with a plan to launch our satellite Sheila in 1960/1961. All schools begin mandatory nuclear drills, which involve students evacuating to the nearest shelter in case of a nuclear strike, but the rural kids can only hide in the school’s basement. Rural basements are reinforced, but shelters are scarce beyond Onslow, Wagga Wagga and Alice Springs. Operation ‘Koala Bare’ starts in a Wagga Wagga making 500 gas-masks, plus a few bio-antibiotics, iodine pills and chem-antidotes where possible. It continues its work next turn, but a bit more so. Partial press censorship is issued over the copper market business and any fighting in the Middle East.

Frowns upon Australia again for violating human rights by censoring the media. Offers cheap as dirt oil from the recently dipped-into oil sands in Northern Alberta. Dozens of nuclear shelters are built by the government surrounding urban centers, with at least a dozen surrounding other smaller towns. Nuclear drills are made mandatory in Alberta, Ontario and British Colombia. Rural towns are given six shelters for the surrounding smaller municipalities. A bomber/interceptor is developed by Avro Canada (OTL Avro Arrow) and tests prove successful. A rocket is fired and makes it 24 km high before exploding. A missile is fired from St. Johns and lands somewhere off the coast of Prince Rupert, B.C. Research on radiation and radioactivity begins. Hydrogen weapons research continues.
    • Swiss D: Swiss physicists offer the Canadians a joint program to study the effects of radiation.
    • Canada Diplomacy: We accept.

Space flight research continues and hopes of a man on the moon by the late-1960s or early 1970's is the main goal of NASA. Another satellite is launched into orbit, while development of nuclear bomb shelters across the country begins. Another super-carriers is laid down, while the USS Eisenhower is launched, becoming the first American-built nuclear submarine. Domestic oil drilling continues, while development of a pipeline from one part of Alaska to the other begins. Research into nuclear energy and nuclear-powered vessels continues.
  • Sweden expands its military. We continue research in all fields. We ask 'Murca if they want to create a joint space program. You have people and resources, we have ideas and designs. Meanwhile, we propose the American membership in ILAN. The greatest King known to Swedish history dies and a massive funeral is held for him.
    • American D: We agree to the ILAN and the joint-space program.
    • Australian D: It promises to help Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Spain and Switzerland if Germany attacks them (but it probably won't be much beyond supplies). The alliances with Japan, NZ, India, Cuba and Canada are reiterated.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni begins writing a new Manhwa, called The Summit (has nothing to do and is in no relation with the OTL Korean Manhwa of the same name). New characters are not announced just yet, but is known Seiga Kaku and Yoshika Miyako are returning characters.
  • NZ: (a few things I forgot to put in my previous post): Production of a new ground-attack aircraft, the Avro New Zealand A-156 Imperator, is commenced. The Imperator is somewhat odd in that it is a prop-driven plane that appears to be more at home in OTL WW-II than in the 1950s. However, it has been demonstrated that its lack of a jet engine makes it practically impossible for heat-seeking missiles or SAMs to target it, and it is a devastating anti-tank weapon. (picture here: http://www.luft46.com/gmart/gm187-4.jpg) The New Zealand aircraft industry kicks into high gear, with plans for jet bombers and other aircraft flying from the drawing board to the production line.
  • Switzerland: SRA and SANDP research continues. Radiation research continues. An independent Swiss company begins selling joke books that stereotype the people of Quebec.
  • Saudi Arabia: continues to develop Lebanon and Syria and asks Jordan to join the Muslim League to allow a road which could link Syria to Saudi Arabia (1-yes). Development fund begins to be sent to Jordan and the Arab line begins to be built to link the major cities and hopefully, in the future, become an expansion of the Orient Express railroad (not sure about the name).
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The nuclear arsenal is built up. Hispaniola continues to be developed.
  • Spain: The first hydrogen bomb finally gets a proper test in the Tabernas Desert (which has begun to affect the health of nearby city of Almeria, similar to OTL New Mexico), which becomes a success, and will be implemented by 1960 to focus on hydrogen bombs. On September 1, 1955, the Spanish Arab Dominion is dissolved, and made into independent nations, Morocco (OTL Morocco and Western Sahara) and Algeria (OTL Northern Algeria). In return for full ownership of oil wells, Morocco and Algeria will receive full equipment and military funding. All troops of the EEL withdraw from former EEL bases, and are given to the military of their respective countries, along with 300,000 A-45 assault rifles. With the free oil deal with Portugal having ended about a year ago (1944-1954), we offer to continue selling our oil at a low price to Portugal in return for a non-aggression pact. Right now, there is a controversy in diplomacy: one of Spain's few economic allies is Australia, but Australia's arch enemy is Germany, who is also Spain's closest ally. Eight more nuclear bombs are produced, which are converted to compact ballistics that can be fired from the Basque-class nuclear submarines. All nuclear bombs will be produced to rely on stealth, since it is likely that the United States has many coastal defenses and machine guns in case of invasion. Since the Delaware Crisis, it would be impossible to send a fleet of bombers right away. With the United States Navy and Air Force likely being bigger than Spain's EELA and EELFA, the Caudillo announces the 1955 Ley de Fuerza (1955 Strength Act), which will greatly strengthen the EEL, even as the economy continues towards recession. The act includes a new development for a service rifle, artillery, tanks and armoured vehicles for the EELFT and EELGN, new multi-purpose jet planes for the EELFA, along with the retirement of all non-jet aircraft, and for EELA, new fast-attack frigates and destroyers, along with the launch of the new Ceuta-class supercarrier, consisting of the two supercarriers, the Ceuta and the Melilla, will both be launched by 1957. The new fast-attack ships will be the Zaragoza-class frigate and the Seville-class destroyer, which will be built, with 50 and 20 each to finish construction by 1960.
  • African Union: The AU continues Project Shaka Zulu, seeing the birth of 750,000 newborns under the program. The government reaches out to Gabon and the Republic of the Congo, offering them both full membership (RNG please). Incentives such as money, technology and aid are offered in return. Aid to rebels throughout Africa against colonialism continues.
  • 1 - 4 Yes, 5 - 10 No. Gabon: 1, No. Kongo: 3, No.
  • India: The government buildings are blown up (though thankfully they were not in session). Martial law is declared, then scrapped after a week when people have calmed down. Investigations start to probe for suspects and the military is put on a War footing though with no clear enemy at present. A competition is launched for international architects to design a new seat of government. Thankfully, Indian athletes do well at the Melbourne Games, which takes the public's mind off the disaster. A plea is sent out for up-to-date weapons for the army in order to combat this new threat.
  • I see some Indian Orange on parts of Indonesia. Is this me or is it Dutch? David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk)
  • I think it's all Dutch Orange by the different tint.
  • Could someone change it more, please? My computer shows no difference. David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk)
  • I will
  • France: We improve the buses, power stations and roads, especially in French cities, both parts of (upper) Zaire, and Mali. France industrialises its north and Wallonia and Mali (south) as Wallon coal mines go for a big productivity drive and win new coal production. Forts appear on all fronts other than Spain's. Australia is asked for New Caledonia Island back. France assimilates Francophone S. Belgium as friends and allies, but a few racists are in the exiled part. Alliance offered to Sweden, Denmark, UK, Australia, India, Canada, Gabon, Switzerland, Egypt, Spain and Portugal. French African Guinea is given independence, but Dahomie-Benin, Guadaloupe Island, Mali (South) and Burkina Faso are fortified and mines, roads and education are developed highly over the next three years. We will not give them up. Desert nearing Tassameraet-Algeria in and Bay of Biscay tests are successful. Three nukes made and three more each turn until we have 12. Mass tank production. Atomic and chemical weapons drill are held throughout the republic and its African and Caribbean holdings. France demands the vassal state on its German/Swiss border it's given back to them. If we are nuked or chem'ed we will retaliate likewise on your biggest four cities and the capital. 30 Aromajister jets are made and five are sold to India. Some chemical are weapons made. Former Belgian, Rwanda/Burundi captured from government in exile and given to the British as a bribing act. Space tech starts.

  • Whoah. Algorithm for Belgian Invasion made. You have to prove you can do it! This seems slightly Implausible. I'm not a mod though...David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk)
  • Impossible?
  • Implausogasm detected.-Pita
  • France was rubbish, Belgium would have destroyed them. The River Nile-2 (talk)
  • France is a puny country ATL, end of story. Read up.
  • A French troll?
  • French are and always will be useless, since they are an inferior culture and race.
  • Australia D: We keep NC and as a security measure, kill off the 15% who are ethnic French and give their stuff to the 85% native ethnic Kanaks.
  • Cuba: Cuba has formed a national army called the Resistance. Congress in Cuba has changed its name from Congress to the Grand Council. Cuba continues to research technology to launch into space. Varadero continues to grow, and has become a hotspot for numerous tourists. Continues to sell resources to other countries.

1956[]

AVArb 'Battle Contole Zones.

The Aussie 'Battle Control Zones'.

  • Australia: The low nuclear tests continue, with a final successful  one KT test blast at Woomara and it will kick start bomb makers in 1956. Roads and railways are upgraded in Canberra, Melbourne, Imanpa and Perth. Five low yield bombs are made. A mine sweeper, patrol boat, PT boat and mine layer are also made. Three coastal patrol subs, three coastal attack subs and an ocean going attack sub are laid down. A patrol sub is sold to the Indians and another to New Zealand. The economy is in steep decline! Prime Minister Menzies is pilloried in the national press, as is his predecessor, Prime Minister Certain, over the ‘Australian Empire’. A parliamentary no confidence vote is called in Canberra and the Australian government survives with a majority of only two. Pro and anti-government rallies occur in Darwin and Kilgoorie. The States are subdivided into emergency civil defence ‘battle controller zones’, or BCZ, which are smaller versions of the old states and now have the right to use draconian measures in time of unconventional war. Nauru, NC, rural PNG, Port Moresby in PNG, WNG and Timor all become BCZ as well. If Australia survives the war, North Queensland BCZ and Greater Melbourne BCZ will become states as Aluria and Central Australia did 20 years before. Some more farming equipment, translated school books and 500 rifles are given to India, Saudi Arabia, NZ, Ivory Coast (RNG), Congo (RNG) and Cuba. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Port Moresby, Melbourne, Kilgoorie Mine, New Caledonia and Timor. Research into nuclear energy and a nuclear-powered navy vessel slowly starts. All schools continue mandatory nuclear drills, which involve students evacuating to the nearest shelter in case of a nuclear strike, but the rural kids can only hide in the school’s basement. Rural basements are further reinforced, but shelters are scarce beyond Onslow, Wagga Wagga and Alice Springs. Operation ‘Kowala Bare’ in Wagga Wagga making 2000 more gas masks, plus iodine pills, few bio-antibiotics and chem's-antidotes where possible. Some iodine pills are sent to India, Denmark and Japan. It continues its work next turn, but a bit more so. Partial press censorship is still issued over any fighting in the Middle East and Africa. We agree to buy Canada’s Alberta sand oil, but also continue to buy the Spanish and Saudi stuff, too. A war is called for with France- It must be stopped. It’s gone crazy. SIS secret agents start a series of targeted sniper assassinations against French colonial leaders in Africa and encourage revolution in the enslaved nations, so they go independent if they can. That ‘Azawad-South Algeria’ place is the only one not hit, since the SIS is not infinite. A heavy rainstorm causes a bad flood in Cairns, killing 12 people. Alliance offered to Ivory Coast (RNG) and Congo (RNG).
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing The Summit.
  • Spain: Eight new warheads are built, all of them ballistics that can be fired by nuclear submarines. CETME (Centro de Estudios Técnicos de Materiales Especiales, or Center for Technical Studies of Special Materials), a government funded arms developer, which despite claims that it works on other technology, the development establishment is actually for developing weapons for the EEL. CETME is developing the CETME-5X assault rifle (based on the OTL CETME rifle, or CEAM Modéle 1950), along with the development of the CETMA-A machine gun (based on the OTL AA-52 machine gun) and the CETMA-C self-propelled artillery (based on OTL OTO Melara Mod 56). Both the machine gun and artillery will mainly be used on armoured vehicles and the in-development Verdeja 5 main battle tank. The new Verdeja 5, have 500-700 in production, and are expected to all be completed between 1958 and 1960.
  • Switzerland: All research continues.
    • Given that it's been four years since I started NZ's nuke program, do I get nukes now? 108.217.44.235 23:24, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  • Canada: Offers all Allied nations a steady supply of oil from the newly dipped-into oil sands. Military buildup continues, radiation research continues, hydrogen weapon research continues. Quiet six months up north.
  • Saudi Arabia: Continues to support separatists in Arabia and sends diplomats to Australia to ask them to leave the area without any violence. Pamphlets began to be sent to the Arabs showing that many colonies successfully rebel against the oppressor. The Muslim League continues to be developed and the different groups who create trouble continue to be fought by the League's military. The oil in Syria continues to be developed and great progress is made in the living standard.
  • Australian response: We leave the area in question as well as Sri Lanka, as all troops are recalled from abroad in case of trouble at home.
  • Italy: Nuke and military buildup continues. Recognizes the regime changes in Libya and Ethiopia, although wonders how independent nations can declare independence.
  • Tunisia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Tunisia asks America for a trade deal.
  • Macedonia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Offers Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, and Montenegro a deal to form the European Economic Community, which is basically an economic union and free trade zone with a common currency called the Euro.
    • Italy Diplomacy: Italy agrees to join the EEC.
  • Slovenia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Joins the EEC.
  • Croatia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Joins the EEC and suggests the EEC have as sort of Council with one vote for each nation.
    • Macedonia D: Sounds like a good plan, I will include that in the charter.
  • Bosnia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Joins the EEC.
  • Serbia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Joins the EEC.
  • Montenegro: Nuke and military buildup continues. Joins the EEC.
  • African Union: The AU reaches out to Rwanda-Urundi, Guinea and Barbados to join the organization and benefit from doing so (RNG please). The final piece of northern Botswana is annexed by the AU, after economic collapse and starvation begin to encroach upon the resisters. A second supercarrier, the ANS Mansa Musa is completed at Port Elizabeth. The expansion of the economy and infrastructure continues, and the development of nuclear weapons extended. The construction of guided missiles for jet fighters is completed, and its technology jealously guarded by the government and the military. Aid to African rebel groups continue, and support for joining the AU fostered amongst the African youth.

1956.5[]

The 1956 Summer Olympics open in Guaymas, USA.

  • Australia: The low nuclear tests continue, with a final successful one KT test blast at Woomara and it will in 1956.5. Roads and railways are upgraded in Canberra, Imanpa, Melbourne and Perth. The two final low yield bombs are made (four times one KT and three times ten KT), ending the project. The three coastal patrol subs, three coastal attack subs and an ocean going attack sub that were laid down last turn are made. A patrol sub is sold to the Indians and another to New Zealand. The economy is in steep decline! Prime Minister Menzies is pilloried in the national press, as is his predecessor, Prime Minister Certain, over the ‘Australian Empire’. Splitists rally in Emu Park and Perth. Pro and anti-government rallies occur in Darwin, Canberra and Kilgoorie. Some more farming equipment, translated school books and 500 rifles are given to India, Saudi Arabia, NZ, Ivory Coast (RNG), Spain, Congo (RNG) and Cuba. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Darwin, Onslow, Port Moresby, Melbourne, Kilgoorie mine, New Caledonia and Timor. Research into nuclear energy and a nuclear-powered navy vessel slowly starts. Operation ‘Koala Bare’ in Wagga Wagga making 2000 more gas masks, plus iodine pills, few bio-antibiotics and chem's-antidotes where possible. Some iodine pills are sent to India, NZ, Denmark and Japan. It continues its work next turn, but a bit more so. Partial press censorship is still issued over any fighting in the Middle East and Africa. We agree to buy Canada’s Alberta sand oil, but also continue to buy the Saudi and Spanish stuff, too. A massive cyclone devastates eastern Queensland. Townsville, Lucinda and Cairns are in ruins and 22 are dead and 60 are injured. Winds hit Capricorn Coast including Byfield, Yeppoon, Great Kappel Island, Emu Park and Cawarral. Australia recognizes the regime changes in Libya and Ethiopia, although wonders how virtually independent nations can declare independence. We join the Olympics.
  • Cuba: Economy continues to grow, has remained neutral, and is participating in this year's Olympics.
  • Aussie sports:
    Edina Müller

The German Olympic athlete Karla Edina Andrea Schitd is falsely and maliciously accused by the Aussie media of cheating by taking testosterone, etc, as an early OTL style drug cheat case.

The German Olympic athlete Karla Edina Andrea Schitd is accused (falsely and maliciously) in the Aussie media of cheating by taking caffeine, amphetamines, testosterone and Valium in an OTL early style drug case. She is (falsely and maliciously) accused of being a drug cheat monster like OTL Lance Armstrong, except she's using the old fashioned 1950's methods, not the OTL modern high tech EPO stuff like Lance had.
  • Sweden expands its military and economy and stuff. SPACE RESEARCH! NUKE RESEARCH! SUBMARINE RESEARCH! MORE AIRCRAFT CARRIER RESEARCH! We are bored.
  • Switzerland: All research continues. Scientists have found a direct link between radiation exposure and "radiation sickness" as it is now known. However, more research is needed to find how it operates, and find preventions and cures. The SBC adds another channel to its programming, which is in French, for the French speakers in Switzerland. There are now three channels: the local broadcasting channel (One), the national broadcasting channel (Two), and the French channel (Three). Channels One and Two are in German.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni continues writing The Summit, and announces that it will be released sometime next year.
  • Canada: Nuclear energy research begins. Military buildup continues. Hydrogen weapon research continues. Radiation research continues. Athletes from the earlier sporting event are sent to the Olympics. CBC expands widely with many sub-networks owned by the Corporation added to the typical family household. Wide controversy regarding the Prime Minister's giving in with the Quebec revolution has deposed Louis St. Laurent, giving John Diefenbaker power in office in the election that was held. Two more Aircraft carriers are made and several dozen fighters (comparable to the J-6) are built.
  • The United States continues producing hydrogen bombs, but in limited numbers. The populace of the United States is excited about the Olympics and sends athletes to the games. Research into all fields continues, while NASA continues to push for a moon landing by the late-1960's. Another satellite is launched and hopes to put a man into space by the end of the decade is a goal of NASA. Domestic drilling for oil continues.
  • Dude, the Games are happening NOW.
  • NZ: Falcon 2, carrying female astronaut Sarah Powers, is launched from the Southern Cross and orbits the Earth twice. A second, unmanned, cargo flight is launched in tandem from the dirigible Aoteroa.
    • No, not yet. For you anyway. You don't have the resources or scientists.
    • Aussie D: We give NZ some technical help with Falcon 2.
  • Germany: Germany launches its first nuclear submarine, capable of carrying a dozen nuclear missiles. Meanwhile, the Führer of Germany declares that they will send a man to the moon before the end of the decade. The military continues to be expanded.
  • Saudi Arabia: continues to improve education to reach a status equal to the west. Continues to support Arab revolts in the Middle East and develop the Muslim League. An internal debate to end once and for all the religious division among the regions. Palestine is invited into the League (9-no). Most of the League major cities are linked.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The nuclear arsenal is built up. Hispaniola continues to be developed.
  • Spain: Eight more nuclear bombs are developed in the form of ballistics for the nuclear submarines. While Morocco and Algeria appear to align with the Muslim League, thanks to deals, Spain will likely receive oil for the next 50 years, in return for arms. Spain attended the Olympics, despite having no diplomatic relations with the United States, only in respect for the original Olympic tradition that all war will stop so that people from all over will compete for glory. However, only footage which showed the Spanish athletes at their best was broadcast on TVE. (Even then, live broadcasts, I don't think, is possible). Continues development on ships, tanks and arms, along with the development of the supercarrier, along with further improvement on the EELA. A new division of the EEL, named the Españoles del Ejército de Liberación de Defensa de Fronteras, or the EELDF (Spanish Liberation Army Border Defense). The EELDF will maintain the security of borders, with bases on the French, Portuguese and the Gibraltar borders, using EELFT/EELGN equipment, along with gunboats and cutters (similar to the United States Coast Guard). Continues work on EMP's, biological and chemical weapons, the latter two being tested on political prisoners on the Islas Canarias Centro de Contención (Canary Islands Containment Center). Begins the development of troopships, that could carry up to 3000 soldiers on each ship.
  • Italy: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • Tunisia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Tunisia asks America for a trade deal.
  • Macedonia: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • Slovenia: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • Croatia: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • Bosnia: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • Serbia: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • Montenegro: Nuke and military buildup continues.
  • African Union: The African Union sends invitations to northern Zaire and Ghana to join the union (RNG please), while it continues to provide military aid to African rebel forces. The Shaka Zulu program continues with its provision of several hundreds of thousands of indoctrinated African youth born into and under the close watch of the African government. The AU's first nuclear ballistic submarine is completed, and sent to Luanda to begin service in the navy's forces. Ten additional nuclear weapons are constructed, while three long-range nuclear missiles are built.
  • India: We thank Australia for the aid. Investigations into the 'Great Bombing of 1955' as it is known are leading to Muslim Nationalists who appear to have fled the country either to Pakistan, Bangladesh or the Maldives. Schools are improved. The military remains on High alert. Aid such as we can give is sent to Australia in the wake of their cyclone.

1957[]

AVArb 1957

1957.

  • Who broke up the USSR? It's still whole!
  • Australia: Roads and railways are upgraded in Cairns, Canberra, Adelaide, Onslow, Imanpa, Melbourne and Perth. The three coastal patrol subs, three coastal attack subs and an ocean going attack sub that were laid down last turn are made. The economic decline falls and things level out. With war less near, 40,000 troops are demobilized and sent home. Prime Minister Menzies is less pilloried in the national press, as is his predecessor, Prime Minister Certain, over the ‘Australian Empire’. Splitists rally once more Emu Park and Perth. Pro and anti-government rallies occur in Dili, Darwin, Canberra and Kilgoorie. Air and/or coastal defenses are raised across Darwin, Onslow, Port Moresby, Melbourne and Timor. Research into nuclear energy and a nuclear-powered navy vessel slowly starts.
    AVArbNew Aussie states

The mew states as of 1957.

Operation ‘Koala Bare’ in Wagga Wagga making 2000 more gas masks, plus iodine pills, few bio-antibiotics and chem's-antidotes where possible. Some iodine pills are sent to India, NZ, Denmark, Spain, Korea and Japan. It continues its work next turn, but a bit more so. The Sheilaradio satellite is launched successfuly. Partial press censorship that is still issued over any fighting in the Middle East and Africa is lifted. We agree to buy Canada’s Alberta cheap oil-sand oil, but also continue to buy the Saudi and Spanish stuff, too. Townsville, Lucinda, Cairns, Byfield, Yeppoon, Great Kappel Island, Emu Park and Cawarral gradually rebuild. The Aussie press try to unify the nation by running a load of patriotic stuff about the Australian Olympic team and falsely and maliciously accuse the German volleyball team of being a bunch of cheats. East Timor, New Caledonia, WNG and PNG are integrated into Australia as formal states.
  • Sweden expands its military and economy. We, too, announce that we (with Murka) will have a man on the moon before the end of the next decade. (60s.) We begin to build research stations on Antarctica. SPACE RESEARCH! NUKES! NUCLEAR SUBMARINES! YEAH! We form Courland from the disputed territories betweeen Estonia and Latvia.
  • Canada: Research and Development continues in all fields.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni is almost finished writing The Summit, and will be released later this year.
  • Cuba: Asks Korea for the book called "The Summit" to be translated into Spanish, and in return will pay Korea. The economy is still growing, though not as fast as it was in 1950. Cuba wants to send Australia aid, to help keep the country in order and help out its ally. Cuba has trained for the Olympics and is confident it will be a tough competion, with nationalists getting excited. Varadero becomes Cuba's second largest city, only behind Havana. Its population reaches 14 million, and might get close to 18 million by 1960. The government now made it legal for citizens with a good reason to have guns, the right to bear arms. Castro, who has been trying to bring Communism to Cuba for years now, had fled to Mexico City, as the government was going to throw him in jail again.
    • Korean Diplomacy: Han Kyung-ni will ship Spanish-translated version of her Manhwa, The Summit, once it is released later this year.
    • The GOVERNMENT is paying an AUTHOR to TRANSLATE a BOOK to their language? The people can ask for it, and no one needs to pay for it. It should be quite obvious that the publishing company would sell it to foreign markets for increased profit...
    • 0o it's possible ...
    • No. Just no. The government is not going to ask for a manga (or whatever) book. They have better stuff to deal with. Besides, natural economic nature means that the book is already translated and sold everywhere people can read.
    • Countries have the right to sell their books to other countries, and governments have the right to ask, so I'll just uncross the mistake you made.
    • And I agree. You have nations doing extremely trivial stuff simply because they can. There is no book on how a country should conduct its affairs. Only the over-bearing views and standands of their neighbors. ~Viva
  • Saudi Arabia: Continues to develop the Muslim League members and export more and more oil as many Saudi companies control some part of the oil market in Syria. The revolt in British Arabia continues to be funded. The navy began to be built and a group of liberals began to gain more and more voice because of the expansion of education.
  • Switzerland: The satellite Helvetica is launched this year. They begin to work on manned spaceflight in 1960. SANDP and radiation research continues.
  • Spain (3 S' countries in a row!): Develops eight more nuclear ballistics. Much to the frustration, the Spanish Olympic team only receives two silver and one bronze medals. Nonetheless, to promote national pride, they are still seen as heroes. With the massive popularity of association football in Spain, the Caudillo wants Spain to hold the World Cup, to show how good the country is at its national sport, and as publicity that's not related to war. All nations, including the United States and Sweden, are welcomed to join the World Cup, as long as a limit of 24 is reached. In order to achieve this, the Caudillo offers the President of FIFA and the President of Switzerland a tour of the country, to show that this country has what it takes to hold an international event. (Which it might not be able to afford) The first Ceuta-class aircraft carrier comes off its dry dock, claiming to be the largest aircraft carrier in the world (though reportedly only 75% the size of the American supercarrier), which is another source of publicity, with the other supercarrier, the Melilla, being completed by the Summer. Continues development on EMP, biological and chemical weaponry.
  • The CoLA continues to build up its military. Economic progress continues. Oil production/development continues in the northern regions. The nuclear arsenal is built up. Hispaniola continues to be developed. Directoral elections begin and results will be in in November. So far, the liberals have an unprecedented advantage and are widely seen as the presumed victors. The only real challenge is in Brazil where popular conservative Director Joao Scarmagna is running for reelection over liberal challenger (and first woman running for Director) Karina da Silva. Brazil places a bid to host the World Cup.
  • Italy: Nuke and military buildup continues. Construction of new infrastructure begins.
  • Tunisia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Tunisia asks America for a trade deal.

  • Serbia: Nuke and military buildup continues. Construction of new infrastructure begins.
  • Montenegro: Nuke and military buildup continues.  Construction of new infrastructure begins.
  • Denmark: Demilitarises completely. Retires its troops and ships, all arms and nukes, to Canada. Announces full neutrality except for alliance with Iceland.

  • African Union: The government welcomes Ghana into the AU as a constituent nation (I waited for two turns for an RNG, but I got nothing. I'll just take it by overt force). Project Shaka Zulu produces several millions of children for the government following the start of a plan several years ago. These children shall form the core of the new African nation in the works. The AU politely requests that northern Zaire join the African Union.
  • You actually have to put the request somewhere where people can see it...
  • India: Investigations into the Great Bombing continue with it beginning to look like the culprits fled to the Maldives. Pan-Indianism is promoted and schools continue to be improved.
  • For the decolonisation plan see the Australian decolonisation plan. 'I will switch from Australia to the remnant USSR next move. The River Nile-2 (talk) 17:48, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  • Iran: Military and Navy are built up. Modernization and secularization are beginning, and it is asked that some foreign countries help Iran in development of an ICBM. An invasion of Afghanistan is prepared for, as Iran prepares a campaign to re-unify Persia. Infrastructure is improved, with most roads are now being paved.
  • USSR: The middle way Communists, led by ATL Boris Yuri Borislav unite Leninists, Trotskyites, Stalinists and Krushchovites. Russia, less Chechnya and The Don/Kuban Cossacks, plus the northern Donbass coal field, Uralsk, far northern Kazakhstan, a bit of Lapland, Minsk, Mogleve, Gomel and some Baltic lands are the new USSR. We extend our hand in friendship to Iran, China, Central Asia, Ukraine, Sweden, Mongolia and India. Space tech, minor Nuke development and chems made. Roads and railways seriously overhauled, for three years at least! The USSR goes neutral, but joins the UN and WHO. A new set of three major coal mines open in Kakassia after local Turkic tribal rebels are suppressed.

RESET TODAY AT 5:00 EST!

Why must every one of these games fail? If you've had to make four-plus reboots of the same game, it must mean something...AP (talk) 18:19, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Agreed.

  • USSR: The middle way Communists, led by ATL Boris Yuri Borislav unite Leninists, Trotskyites, Stalinists and Krushchovites. They favor the Krushchovites. We extend our hand in friendship to Iran, China, Cuba, New Zealand, Canada, Central Asia, Ukraine, Sweden, Mongolia and India. Minor space tech, minor missile tech, minor nuke development and a few chems made. Roads and railways seriously overhauled, 22 T42 and 22 JS2 tanks made. For 2.5 years at least! The USSR is neutral, but has joined the UN and WHO. The capital is moved from Moscow to nearby Ryzan as maintenance workers fix the civil war damaged city. St. Petersburg, Moglev, Omsk and Yakutsk are also fixed up. Several stone quarries open near the port of Sochi.
  • I've quit.
  • Most of these factions do not exist. The USSR is the subservient ally to Sweden. Moscow is not literally damaged; rather it was a war of politics and subterfuge. Also, please learn to spell some things right.
    • Since when? The USSR is not a subservient ally to Sweden. That's impossible, no matter how many more nukes Sweden has. Nile has permission to go ahead. -Pita
    • Nevertheless, the only two of those factions that exist are the Trotskyites and Leninists. Also, subservient or not, we are allies.
  • I quit permanently as this game has gone boring, totally confusing and futile. The River Nile-2 (talk)
  • What!? I wish you good luck, River Nile :(. WHO IS OUR NEW LEADER OF THE MAP GAME?? It's sad that the River Nile left <:(.
    • Enlighten me as to when Nile was the leader in the first place.
  • Why is everyone quitting?!  D: Canada2hy OreoToast555(Talk) 03:03, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
  • Simple, the mods are biased, and the game is boring. I've forgotten to delete my name Theoldbabyisawesomer (talk) 11:44, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
  • Join the new Axis vs Allies: The Last Round (Map Game). We have rules which fix many problems and allow for the removal of mods and fixes the vassal issue, also Decolonization is not necessary.
  • Switzerland: All research continues. Scientists officially report their findings on radiation poisoning, and confirm that exposure to radioactive fallout can cause cancer and other lethal diseases. Switzerland puts in a bid to hold the World Cup.
  • Korea: The military is built up and infrastructure is improved. Han Kyung-ni is finished writing The Summit, and is released. The new characters introduced are Seo Ryeo-won (OTL Mononobe no Futo) and Ahn Jeong-yoon (OTL Soga no Tojiko), while Seiga Kaku and Yoshika Miyako make a return as main characters.
  • Iran: Invasion of Afghanistan begins (algorithm). Several more steps are taken in modernization and secularization. Airports now become common in most towns. Military is built up, and a future invasion of Azerbaijan is prepared for. An alliance and a joint-modernization program is offered to the African Union.
  • Afghanistan? Airports? Most towns? That's not even how life is today in the US. Implausogasm at the least.
  • I think what he meant about the airports is that the towns now have regular access to airports like small towns in the US. Also, the AU is already a modern nation. I got the African nations before they got hit with the retard sticks (like how Rhodesia used to make its own TVs and airplanes, but can no longer feed itself today). ~Viva
  • Seems reasonable.
  • United States: The United States continues its research into all fields, building up the military. Space program continues. Mainly stuff from last turn continues.
  • Cuba: Has nothing to say.
    • German Diplomacy: We would like to place ICBMs in Cuba. In return for allowing us to do so, we will give you 40 million US dollars in aid every year and will give you some nukes.
    • Cuban Response: We say yes. However, the moment you stop giving aid, or if we do not want missiles anymore, we will cancel. Do you take our meaning?
  • Germany: Germany prepares its military for the inevitable confrontation in three years. They begin to send support to the Soviet Union and ask for an alliance. Meanwhile, they also prepare to give independence to their client states after years of riots and rebellions in the region.
  • Dude, the USSR is Sweden's ally. Ain't they got time to be your ally.
  • Canada: All research and development continues.
  • Saudi Arabia: The newly established Arab states of Oman and Yemen are invited into the Muslim League to protect our land along with Iran. The nations of Syria, Jordan and Lebanon continue to be built up. The military research continues while oil continues to produce wealth. (Oman-9 no, Yemen-6 no)
  • Spain: Continues development on nuclear weapons, and other weaponry, to be placed on Basque-class nuclear submarines.
  • In order to keep the game interesting, I offer to play as the Soviet Union, including becoming a mod for this game. This game has gotten boring, mainly because of two reasons. One, the lack of mod events (though we had some for a while in this one), and two, the Soviet player is often gone, or gets bored and stops playing. I often remain with a game, as I was one of the few to stay on the previous AvA, as Hungary. If the mods are cool with it, I ask to apply as the Soviet Union, and become a mod for this game. Stewdio333 (talk) 09:46, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
  • I second your movement, if you really want to play it.
  • Albania: We annex Korfu island (RNG), Radio Tirana-Albania is formed, we ask DITO for an A-bomb and form the International Cominterin, if the USSR wants, who we send a bit of agricultural equipment to. I quit, too.
  • Join the new Axis vs Allies: The Last Round (Map Game), we have rules which fix many problems and allow for the removal of mods and fix the vassal issue, also decolonization is not necessary
  • Dean, you don't need to create a whole new game just because things aren't going your way here. Besides, it's not allowed without the owner's (Pita) consent. It's already implausible based on what you've just said. No one could avoid decolonization, no European nation could afford to hold colonies after both world wars.
  • Black people are more intelligent than their white masters, anyway.
    • Now, no need for such comments...- Pita
    • Nile, not only does this come off as racism, it is full of bias and based entirely on opinion.
    • I actually think it's River Nile.- Pita
    • Oh, you're right. Apologies to Viva.
    • I said it since I beleave the game is etnicly slanted against whites and South Asians and wondered if anyone would bite.90.244.92.74 15:02, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
    • I said decolonization wasn't mandatory, which means that colonies can still break away, but nations can still keep some that they crush in war or control happily. Also, according to GENUINE IQ TESTs, Orientals average 104 IQ, Whites 100, and blacks 85. Now Blacks reproduce faster and are better athletes which is because of a trade off in evolution, Orientals reproduce the least fast, while whites again fall in the middle. I'm white, and here's the link. It's all true, I just wanted to mention it due to someone's comment. Each race is different.
    • Dude, stop feeding us stereotypes.
    • He's right, asuming the form is rigth.90.244.92.74 15:02, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
    • It's based on scientific study, it's not a stereotype. If I were stereotyping I'd make my race the best, when obviously it's not.
  • Italy: Builds up nukes and military. Declares an invasion of Libya.
  • Bosnia: Builds up nukes and military. Sends troops to aid in the war.
  • Croatia: Builds up nukes and military. Sends troops to aid in the war.
  • Slovenia: Builds up nukes and military. Sends troops to aid in the war.
  • Serbia Builds up nukes and military. Sends troops to aid in the war.
  • Macedonia: Builds up nukes and military. Sends troops to aid in the war.
  • Montenegro: Builds up nukes and military. Sends troops to aid in the war.
  • Tunisia: Builds up nukes and military. Allied troops invade North Libya and wipe out the resistance, and North Libya becomes a republic under Allied hegemony.
  • African Union: The AU continues its nuclear missile expansion, military buildup and economic development throughout the organization.
  • India: Invades the Maldives to root out the terrorists, taking the capital after fierce fighting with heavy casualties. We expect to have Britain's full support in this. (RNG please).
  • Saudi Arabia: Continues to develop military and infrastructure of the Muslim League and develop a carrier.
