Rules[]

1. This is a relatively open timeline. Feel free to add general, non-important global events (like monsoons, tornadoes, a singer dying, etc.). If you want to add bigger events (new king, new country), then please message Upvoteanthology first.

2. The wording of some of the things in my timeline may not be so elegant, so please feel free to elaborate or fix anything wrong that you may come across.

3. Feel free to add links to any page that you can't find (if it's a red link right now, it means I haven't made that page yet; don't change those).

4. I need official help with my timeline, so if you would like to help build it, please post a message on my talk page.

The Vikings, as stated by Wikipedia, were "Norse seafarers, speaking the Old Norse language, who raided and traded from their Scandinavian homelands across wide areas of northern and central Europe, as well as European Russia, during the late 8th to late 11th centuries."

Territories and Voyages of the Vikings

In the late 10th and early 11th century (OTL), the Vikings went on a journey to explore new lands. They discovered Iceland first, then Greenland. They explored as far as OTL Newfoundland before they turned back. The main reason they stopped was because the Native Americans that they were trading with were starting to fight, and they didn't want a war.

But what if they did?
