In 1305,a man named Zeno was declared Caesar of Rome and Protector of the Frontier.In 1309,he would have to defend the border.
Germanic Revolt and Invasion[]
In 1309,the Germanic puppet revolted against the Roman puppet ruler.In 1310,they exiled him to Germania Ulterior.In 1314,they called upon their fellow tribes to the East of them to invade.In 1318,the Germanics invaded Germania Inferior and Germania Superior.In 1319,the provinces were abandoned but legions were sent.
The Battle of the Rhine and the tides changing[]
In 1321,the Rhine in Germania Ulterior was invaded.But this battle was a massacre,the Germanics were killed by the thousands and even withdrew from Germania Superior.This battle changed the tides.In 1323,Germania Inferior was retaken.Zeno arrived with reinforcements in 1324.In 1326,the Germania puppet was reclaimed.In 1329,the Romans were advancing into Barbarian land.In 1337,the Germanics surrendered.In 1345,a new Germanic puppet was made and the province of East Germania was created from the former puppet.Zeno died in 1353.
