Diocletian the Un-Modest[]
In 1026,the Senate decided on Diocletion as Emperor.In 1028,Diocletion was declared Caesar of Rome and Protector of the Frontier.In 1039, Diocletian decided to declare himself lord immediately a successor to Diocletian began being found.Diocletian acted without the Senate and even declared the 1st Senate-Caesar Compromise void.He declared that the Empire be split in half.Thus in 1045 declared the Western and Eastern Roman Empires.However,the Senate never approved the division.In 1051,Diocletian was killed.
Constantine the True[]
In 1053,Constantine was declared Emperor by the Senate. The Eastern Emperor claimed he was still emperor in the east.In 1065,he was killed by his own troops.The Treaty of Nicomedia was signed in 1068 by the Eastern Emperor and Constantine.Rome was reunified.Constantine consulted the Senate and declared Connacht open to referendum.In the end,Connacht voted itself into remaining its Imperial Status.The rest of Constantine's reign was peaceful.In 1087,the Senate agreed to create a new letter,the "U",which made the soft V/OTL U sound.Thus U the sounded like the OTL "U" and the V like the OTL "W".In 1090,Constantine stepped down.The Senate voted in his son Constantine 2 to succeed him.
