Canada  is a North American country consisting of nine provinces and three territories. Located in the northern part of the continent, it extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Canada is the world's second-largest nation. and its common border with the United States is the world's longest land border.

The land that is now Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the late 15th century, British and French colonial expeditions explored, and later settled, the region's Atlantic coast. France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America to Britain in 1763 after the Seven Years War.. In 1867, with the union of three British North American colonies through Confederation, Canada was formed as a federal dominion of four provinces. This began an accretion of provinces and territories and a process of increasing autonomy, culminating in the Canada Act 1982.

Canada is a federal state governed as a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. The country is officially bilingual and multicultural at the federal level, with a population of approximately 33.4 million as of 2011. Canada's advanced economy is one of the worlds largest and relies largely upon its natural resources and international trade, particularly with the United States, with which it has had a Long and complex relationship. Per capita income is the world's [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)_per_capita ninth highest, and Canada ranks sixth globally in human development. It performs favorably in international rankings of education, quality of life, government transparency, and economic freedom. Canada is a member of the NATOC.

Most of Canada's population reside in urban centers. The Toronto Metropolitan Area is heavily influenced by American immigration. The Harry Hays building in Calgary, now known as the Lester B. Pearson Building is the current parliament/capital building.

The geography of Canada affects it indefinitely, with the western reaches of the nation dominated by Mountains and plains, and the eastern reaches covered almost in its entirety with forests.

Most of Canada's economic prosperity is generated by it's natural resources, which there is a large abundance of.

The Athabascan Oil sands are by far the largest known reserves of oil in the nation.

Canada Has a large navy capable of naval superiority in most battles. There are 12 fleets in the atlantic, 8 in the pacific. All fleets have at least 5 ships. The Air Force is developed, with A-10 Thunderbolts as the main fighter. The Canadian Army has a large advantage over most nations, large, versatile geography. By using the vast areas of the Canadian WIlderness, the army is able to hold a large resistance force against any occupier. By storming occupant centers of power, the resistant force will most likely be able to repel an occupying enemy.

Blank Map of Canada

This map represents what is Canadian Territory, and where major cities are.

This map is currently primitive and will be developed later on to a higher quality design with a much more sophisticated program.

Canada does not currently have any externally occupied or owned territories.

I hate the way images and headings screw each other over.

Will be remaking page this weekend.
